I have read about seizure known as temporary abnormal electro-physiologic phenomena of the brain usually occurred on people who had epilepsy. At first I thought seizure can only occur for those people who had epilepsy but as I read this article I tend to find that people who do not have epilepsy can also face seizure as well. Seizure can also be subtle as marching numbness of a part of a body, a brief loss of memory or a sensation of fear. The treatment for epilepsy can only be conducted by neurology specialist.

Today I have read an article about phobias. Here are a part of that article:

Phobias

Phobias (in the clinical meaning of the term) are the most common form of anxiety disorders. An American study by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) found that between 8.7% and 18.1% of Americans suffer from phobias. [1] Broken down by age and gender, the study found that phobias were the most common mental illness among women in all age groups and the second most common illness among men older than 25.

Causes

It is generally accepted that phobias arise from a combination of external events and internal predispositions. In a famous experiment, Martin Seligman used classical conditioning to establish phobias of snakes and flowers. The results of the experiment showed that it took far fewer shocks to create an adverse response to a picture of a snake than to a picture of a flower, leading to the conclusion that certain objects may have a genetic predisposition to being associated with fear[2]. Many specific phobias can be traced back to a specific triggering event, usually a traumatic experience at an early age. Social phobias and agoraphobia have more complex causes that are not entirely known at this time. It is believed that heredity, genetics, and brain chemistry combine with life-experiences to play a major role in the development of anxiety disorders, phobias and panic attacks.

I have read an article about music and brain…

According to the article, the power of music to affect memory is quite intriguing. Mozart’s music and baroque music, with a 60 beats per minute beat pattern, activates the left and right brain. The simultaneous left and right brain action maximizes learning and retention of information. The information being studied activates the left brain while the music activates the right brain. Also, activities which engage both sides of the brain at the same time, such as playing an instrument or singing, causes the brain to be more capable of processing information. By listening to certain types of music before taking a test, the student can improve their test scores.

I recently read about "EASY but USEFUL JAPANESE"

In this section, we will learn some Japanese word here, so maybe it is useful one day for us...

If you can continue to remember the words introduced here every month, Japanese will appreciate your efforts and will be much friendlier to you.. the word is

"to-ni-ka-ku"

This word can be use in many situations. It usually means "anyway" or "at any rate". If your friends hesitates to do something, you can say to him or her, "tonikaku yarinasa" (do it anyway)...
When u have an opportunity to eat Japanese dishes for the first time, your Japanese colleague or friends may encourage you to try, saying "tonikaku doozo" (please try it anyway)......
This expression is very useful when someone is at loss what to do...If you are asked to do something you are not good at, you can say, "tonikaku gambari masu" (anyway i will do my best)....
When you make a lunch appointment with someone and he or she does not appear even after the appointment time, you can say, "tonikaku machi mashou" (let's wait for him or her anyway)...
when a school boy wants to play outside, his mother says to him, "tonikaku mazu (first), shukudai (homework) yarimasai" (anyway finish your homework first)....

okay that's all
thank you...

-Tell Me More is also one of the way to learn English. For the first time using TMM,I feel very enjoy and excited doing all the activities there.I really enjoy learning English through this TMM software. It offers us a lot of activities such as word pronunciation and vocabulary.Frankly speaking, I love to do on pronunciation activities because it is really tough and fun. :)
I had to repeat several words too many times.Even though it's very difficult to get the 'green bar' if we pronounce it corrects, but I really don't mind about that because I can learn and correct on my mistakes.
I think TMM software can help those who want to learn and know more about English but still, we need a teacher as well :)
Enjoy doing your TMM :)

I'd read this article about '5 Facts You MUST Understand if You Are Ever Going to Lose Your Belly Fat and Get Six Pack Abs'

I'll show you in the article below why you've been doing the wrong types of exercises and eating the wrong types of foods.

-Here is the article:
1. Many so-called "health foods" are actually cleverly disguised junk foods that actually stimulate you to gain more belly fat... yet the diet food marketing industry continues to lie to you so they can maximize their profits.

2. Ab exercises like crunches, sit-ups, and ab machines are the LEAST effective method of getting flat six pack abs. We'll explore what types of exercises REALLY work in a minute.

3. Boring repetitive cardio exercise routines are NOT the best way to lose body fat and uncover those six pack abs. I'll show you the exact types of unique workouts that produce 10x better results below.

4. You DON'T need to waste your money on expensive "extreme fat burner" pills (that don't work) or other bogus supplements. A special class of natural foods is much more effective. I'll tell you about these natural foods and their powers below.

5. Ab belts, ab-rockers, ab-loungers, and other infomercial ab-gimmicks... they're all a complete waste of your time and money. Despite the misleading infomercials, the perfectly chiseled fitness models in the commercials did NOT get their perfect body by using that "ab contraption"... they got their perfect body through REAL workouts and REAL nutrition strategies. Again, you'll learn some of their secrets and what really works below.

So for those who want to get the great flat stomach, just follow the rules :) It's true about losing stubborn belly fat.

just now i'd read this article which is discussing on what not to do if we write simple English articles.

here is a lil' bit about what not to do :

Do not...

-Use bad grammar and bad spelling.
-Use bad English: This is Simple English, not Bad English.
-Use idioms (words or phrases that mean something other than what they say).
-Use words you're not sure about without using a dictionary.
-Write articles so short that they offer no useful information.
-Write in the second person. Good encyclopedia articles are never addressed to "you". Do not make statements about "you".
-Put links in titles (or other elements that structure the article). Try to keep the navigation and the structure of an article separate.

WORLD'S FIRST BRAIN SURGEON
Ever heard about it...?
Well the six legged robot known as "Hexapod" has been developed by Singapore experts who is the engineers at the Nanyang Technology University (NTU) and it is programmed to drill through the skull during surgery to remove deep-seated brain tumor. It can reduce operating time. The speed and precision hinge of the software had been written by the NTU's department itself. According to Associate Professor (Ng Wang Sing) the Hexapod will be programmed to use the "optimal path to reach the tumor" without touching the brain and avoiding sensitive areas such as the inner ear and the facial nerves.

How the method of removing the tumour are conducted..??
First using the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the affected area first. MRI image is examined and the tumour area, location of blood vessels, and the nerves and sensitive structures is marked. The programmers can then map the access path, program the robotic arm to hold the drilling tool and begin the surgery. The surgeon puts physical markers on the patient's head to guide the robot before the operation. The computer connected to the robot is also preloaded with the medical imaging information and can be used to do a simulation of the surgery.
From this article, we can see how important technology is especially in medical field.^_^

Heart Attack Symptoms and Warning Signs...
A blockage in the heart's arteries may reduce or completely cut off the blood supply to a portion of the heart. This can cause a blood clot to form and totally stop blood flow in a coronary artery, resulting in a heart attack (also called an acute myocardial infarction or MI).

Irreversible injury to the heart muscle usually occurs if medical help is not received promptly. Unfortunately, it is common for people to dismiss heart attack symptoms.

What are the warning signs of a heart attack? The American Heart Association and other medical experts say the body likely will send one or more of these warning signals of a heart attack:

* Uncomfortable pressure, fullness, squeezing or pain in the center of the chest lasting more than a few minutes.
* Pain spreading to the shoulders, neck or arms. The pain may be mild to intense. It may feel like pressure, tightness, burning, or heavy weight. It may be located in the chest, upper abdomen, neck, jaw, or inside the arms or shoulders.
* Chest discomfort with lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath.
* Anxiety, nervousness and/or cold, sweaty skin.
* Paleness or pallor.
* Increased or irregular heart rate.
* Feeling of impending doom.

Not all of these signs occur in every attack. Sometimes they go away and return. If some occur, get help fast. IF YOU NOTICE ONE OR MORE OF THESE SIGNS IN YOURSELF OR OTHERS, DON'T WAIT. CALL EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES (9-1-1) RIGHT AWAY! In the event of cardiopulmonary arrest (no breathing or pulse), call 9-1-1 and begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) immediately.

Today i'd read about the vitamins.
There is a lot of vitamin like Vitamin A,Vitamin B and much more
Through this articles,i got lots of information about vitamins
So,here is some of the information :

--Vitamins are a group of substances essential for normal cell function, growth and development.

There are 13 essential vitamins. That means they are needed for the body to function. They are:

* Vitamin A
* Vitamin C
* Vitamin D
* Vitamin E
* Vitamin K
* Vitamin B1 (thiamine)
* Vitamin B2 (riboflavin)
* Vitamin B3 (niacin)
* Pantothenic acid
* Biotin
* Vitamin B6
* Vitamin B12
* Folate (folic acid)

Vitamins are grouped into two categories:

* Fat-soluble vitamins are stored in the body's fatty tissue.
* Water-soluble vitamins must be used by the body right away. Any left over water-soluble vitamins leave the body through the urine. Vitamin B12 is the only water-soluble vitamin that can be stored in the liver for many years.

-Through this article also,i got to know the functions of each vitamin.

Function

Each vitamin has specific functions. You can develop health problems (deficiency disease) if you do not get enough of a particular vitamin.

Vitamin A helps in the formation and maintenance of healthy teeth, bones, soft tissue, mucous membranes, and skin.

Vitamin B6 is also known as pyridoxine. The more protein a person eats, the more vitamin B6 is needed to help the body use the protein. Vitamin B6 helps form red blood cells and maintain brain function, among other things.

Vitamin B12, like the other B vitamins, is important for metabolism. It also helps form red blood cells and maintain the central nervous system.

Vitamin C, also called ascorbic acid, is an antioxidant that promotes healthy teeth and gums. It helps the body absorb iron and maintain healthy tissue. It also promotes wound healing.

Vitamin D is also known as the "sunshine vitamin," since it is made by the body after being in the sun. Ten to 15 minutes of sunshine three times per week is enough to produce the body's requirement of vitamin D. This vitamin promotes the body's absorption of calcium, which is essential for the normal development and maintenance of healthy teeth and bones. It also helps maintain proper blood levels of calcium and phosphorus.

Vitamin E is an antioxidant also known as tocopherol. It plays a role in the formation of red blood cells and helps the body use vitamin K.

Vitamin K is not listed among the essential vitamins, but without it blood would not stick together (coagulate). Some studies suggest that it helps promote strong bones in the elderly.

Biotin is essential for the metabolism of proteins and carbohydrates, and in the production of hormones and cholesterol.

Niacin is a B vitamin that helps maintain healthy skin and nerves. It is also has cholesterol-lowering effects.

Folate works with vitamin B12 to help form red blood cells. It is necessary for the production of DNA, which controls tissue growth and cell function. Any woman who is pregnant should be sure to get enough folate. Low levels of folate are linked to birth defects such as spina bifida. Many foods are now fortified with folic acid.

Pantothenic acid is essential for the metabolism of food. It is also plays a role in the production of hormones and cholesterol.

Riboflavin (B2) works with the other B vitamins. It is important for body growth and the production of red blood cells.

Thiamine (B1) helps the body cells change carbohydrates into energy. It is also essential for heart function and healthy nerve cells.

So,if you have read this, get enough vitamin to have A BETTER LIFE.

*stay healthy*

I read this article and it caught my attention by the thought for the days and i try to apply this tips to be more fit..

10 Essential Health Tips
(The Basics to Practice Every Day)

"He who has health has hope, and he who has hope has everything." -Arabian Proverb

1. Move More
Make it a daily challenge to find ways to move your body. Climb stairs if given a choice between that and escalators or elevators. Walk your dog; chase your kids; toss balls with friends, mow the lawn. Anything that moves your limbs is not only a fitness tool, it's a stress buster. Think 'move' in small increments of time. It doesn't have to be an hour in the gym or a 45-minute aerobic dance class or tai chi or kickboxing. But that's great when you're up to it. Meanwhile, move more. Thought for the day: Cha, Cha, Cha…. Then do it!

2. Cut Fat
Avoid the obvious such as fried foods, burgers and other fatty meats (i.e. pork, bacon, ham, salami, ribs and sausage). Dairy products such as cheese, cottage cheese, milk and cream should be eaten in low fat versions. Nuts and sandwich meats, mayonnaise, margarine, butter and sauces should be eaten in limited amounts. Most are available in lower fat versions such as substitute butter, fat free cheeses and mayonnaise. Thought for the day: Lean, mean, fat-burning machine…. Then be one!

3. Quit Smoking
The jury is definitely in on this verdict. Ever since 1960 when the Surgeon General announced that smoking was harmful to your health, Americans have been reducing their use of tobacco products that kill. Just recently, we've seen a surge in smoking in adolescents and teens. Could it be the Hollywood influence? It seems the stars in every movie of late smoke cigarettes. Beware. Warn your children of the false romance or 'tough guy' stance of Hollywood smokers. Thought for the day: Give up just one cigarette…. the next one.

4. Reduce Stress
Easier said than done, stress busters come in many forms. Some techniques recommended by experts are to think positive thoughts. Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like. (i.e.,Soak in a hot tub; walk on the beach or in a park; read a good book; visit a friend; play with your dog; listen to soothing music; watch a funny movie. Get a massage, a facial or a haircut. Meditate. Count to ten before losing your temper or getting aggravated. Avoid difficult people when possible. Thought for the day: When seeing red, think pink clouds….then float on them.

5. Protect Yourself from Pollution
If you can't live in a smog-free environment, at least avoid smoke-filled rooms, high traffic areas, breathing in highway fumes and exercising near busy thoroughfares. Exercise outside when the smog rating is low. Exercise indoors in air conditioning when air quality is good. Plant lots of shrubbery in your yard. It's a good pollution and dirt from the street deterrent. Thought for the day: 'Smoke gets in your eyes'…and your mouth, and your nose and your lungs as do pollutants….hum the tune daily.

6. Wear Your Seat Belt
Statistics show that seat belts add to longevity and help alleviate potential injuries in car crashes. Thought for the day: Buckle down and buckle up.

7. Floss Your Teeth
Recent studies make a direct connection between longevity and teeth flossing. Nobody knows exactly why. Perhaps it's because people who floss tend to be more health conscious than people who don't? Thought for the day: Floss and be your body's boss.

8. Avoid Excessive Drinking
While recent studies show a glass of wine or one drink a day (two for men) can help protect against heart disease, more than that can cause other health problems such as liver and kidney disease and cancer. Thought for the day: A jug of wine should last a long time.

9. Keep a Positive Mental Outlook
There's a definitive connection between living well and healthfully and having a cheerful outlook on life. Thought for the day: You can't be unhappy when you're smiling or singing.

10. Choose Your Parents Well
The link between genetics and health is a powerful one. But just because one or both of your parents died young in ill health doesn't mean you cannot counteract the genetic pool handed you. Thought for the day: Follow these basic tips for healthy living and you can better control your own destiny.

A tornado is defined as a violently rotating column of air, in contact with the ground, either pendant from a cumuliform cloud or underneath a cumuliform cloud, and often (but not always) visible as a funnel cloud. In addition, for a vortex to be classified as a tornado, it must be in contact with both the ground and the cloud base. Scientists have not yet created a complete definition of the word; for example, there is disagreement as to whether separate touchdowns of the same funnel constitute separate tornadoes.
A tornado is not necessarily visible; however, the intense low pressure caused by the high wind speeds usually causes water vapor in the air to become visible as a condensation funnel. The tornado is the vortex of wind, not the condensation cloud.
A funnel cloud is a visible condensation funnel with no associated strong winds at the surface. Not all funnel clouds evolve into a tornado. However, many tornadoes are preceded by a funnel cloud. Most tornadoes produce strong winds at the surface while the visible funnel is still above the ground, so it is difficult to discern the difference between a funnel cloud and a tornado from a distance.

This article is about STRESS.
I think this is a very good article for us as a student. As we know, students nowadays always get into this kind of matter.

Here is some information about stress :

Stress can come from any situation or thought that makes you feel frustrated, angry, or anxious. What is stressful to one person is not necessarily stressful to another.

Anxiety is a feeling of apprehension or fear. The source of this uneasiness is not always known or recognized, which can add to the distress you feel.
Alternative Names

Anxiety; Feeling uptight; Stress; Tension; Jitters; Apprehension

From this article,i know that emotional states like grief or depression and health conditions like an overactive thyroid, low blood sugar, or heart attack can also cause stress.

Anxiety is often accompanied by physical symptoms, including:

* Twitching or trembling
* Muscle tension, headaches
* Sweating
* Dry mouth, difficulty swallowing
* Abdominal pain (may be the only symptom of stress, especially in a child)

Sometimes other symptoms accompany anxiety:

* Dizziness
* Rapid or irregular heart rate
* Rapid breathing
* Diarrhea or frequent need to urinate
* Fatigue
* Irritability, including loss of your temper
* Sleeping difficulties and nightmares
* Decreased concentration
* Sexual problems

Anxiety disorders are a group of psychiatric conditions that involve excessive anxiety. They include generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and social phobia.

So we should avoid in this matter because it is not good for our health in long term.

This article that I have read is about how the children in Washington area suffered from hunger when school is out for holiday. The reason is, when school ends the federally funded schools breakfast and lunch programs are no longer available to ensure these children receive a sufficient amount of food.
Therefore, lets not waste our food no matter what and be moderate to avoid waste. We should be more aware and understand the feelings for those who suffer from hunger and poverty.

I believe that everyone of us needs friends as much as we need our family. However, do we really appreciate the friendship tied among us? Some people are very loyal to their friends, whether his or her friends are in need. They will do anything for their own goodness even by keeping the secrets among them. This kind of friend can be categorized as true friend and can be our best friend.

One of the way to appeciate our friendship with them is by celebrating Friendship Day. Only a few of us do celebrate this day because we do not notice when was the day.

Actually, Friendship Day celebrations take place on the first Sunday of August every year. The tradition of dedicating a day in honor of friends began in US in 1935. Gradually the festival gained popularity and today Friendship Day is celebrated in large number of countries including India. On this day people spend time with their friends and express love for them. Exchange of Friendship Day Gifts like flowers, cards and wrist bands is a popular tradition of this occasion.

~ Recently, I read about why women love flower?...
This is the input that i get when i read the article. Each woman has her own unique personality and there is no universal reason as to why flowers evoke such positive reactions from them. It can be said that it is not so much the flowers themselves but the meaning and thought behind it that makes women giggle like high school teenagers.

It’s the meaning of flowers that draws positive responses from people. Every single color and type of flower comes with its own traditional meaning and sentiment - symbolisms that have been developed through time. In fact, roses in particular have their own language. Traditionally speaking, a rosebud means young love or youth, whereas a mature rose symbolizes lasting love or gratitude. White roses can mean that you view the recipient as innocent-and childlike, where a pink rose shows that you are happy and content. We all know that red roses signify true love, but a red rose bud symbolizes a deeper, purer, more passionate love. Many people combine red roses with white roses to give the message of unbreakable unity. These meanings are not often talked about or memorized but for some reason, people understand them perfectly.

Before this, i have post about two article which is cat and tornado.Today, i will post about obesity that i have read from an article in the internet.

Obesity can be defined as a person who have more than 20 percent over their ideal weight. That ideal weight must take into account the person's height, age, sex, and build.
It is important to understand the health effects of obesity. Obesity is associated with more than thirty medical conditions and scientific evidence has established a strong relationship with at least fifteen of those conditions.

Obesity is associated with the development of osteoarthritis of the hand, hip, back, and knees.
Obesity increases the risk of breast cancer in men and women.
It is strongly associated with cancer of the esophagus.
Obese women have three to four times the risk of endometrial cancer than women with lower BMI. Obesity increases cardiovascular disease risk because of its effect on blood lipid levels. Obesity is a major risk factor for heart attack.
Gallstones are common in overweight and obese persons.
Obesity decreases the body’s resistance to harmful organisms.
Obesity is the most common factor of nonalcoholic steatophepatitis, a major cause of liver disease.

A skin mole (melanocytic nevi) is a permanent or acquired dark spot on the skin. Usually it is part of skin pigmentation and appears on part of the body, where melanocytes form cluster formations. Most often moles are a benign growth of the color cells of the skin (melanocytes) and can even add some charm to the appearance of their owners. However, sometimes moles can cause a serious health risk.

Moles naturally appear in the first year of life and are believed to be the result of a disorder in the development of the fetal cells. Women are prone to having more moles appear on their skin throughout the second or third decade of their life due to sunburns or as a result of pregnancy. The skin mole can range in color from light to dark brown, even black. The size and form can also vary. The single skin mole is referred to in medical terms as a nevus. The nevi (the plural for a nevus) can be in singular clusters or spread on the entire torso, arms and legs. The surface of the moles may be flat or raised. Some will sprout a few hairs, which is normal.

Skin Mole types
There are several skin mole types. The most common one is the lentigo, which is most often seen in people with dark skin. It is a dark circular mark with the size of a lentil bean and with a slightly elevated surface. Its color can be yellow-brown or dark brown. Usually it doesn’t sprout any hair.

Another type of skin mole is the cellular. It is a raised hemispherical formation, which is soft to touch with smooth or with a furrow pattern. The color can be the same as the skin, grayish or dark purple. The size can vary from that of a lentil bean to a cherry. This type of mole usually appears on the face and torso.

The blue nevus is a variant of a common mole. It appears mostly on the face in the shape of small lentil-like ganglions, which have a blue color and can be seen through the skin. The blue nevus is composed of melanocytes, the cells which produce the melanin pigment. This nevus gets its name from the distinct clinical appearance because of the pigmented cells within the dermis. It is benign and is usually more of a cosmetic problem.

The charm of the skin mole
Is a mole really a charm for luck, money and happiness - I don’t know - but in all cases a skin mole (especially on the face) can add some charm to the appearance of its owner. The rich and famous women are a living proof: Angelina Jolie has a mole right above her right eyebrow, Beyonce Knowles - next to her left eye, Cindy Crawford - left of her lips, Madonna - under her nostrils, Julia Roberts - under each one of her eyes, Scarlet Johanson - on her right cheek, Kim Cattrall - left below her lips and so on…

When does the skin mole pose a threat?
Skin moles can become a serious health problem if they turn into a malignant formation, known as melanoma. Although an individual’s risk for developing melanoma depends a great deal on their family history and inherited genes, the extreme exposure to ultraviolet (UVA) rays is one of the major contributors to the development of melanoma. The severe sunburns during childhood are the most risky ones.

The uncontrolled growth of the melanocytes leads to the formation of many cancerous cells that divide repeatedly at abnormal rates. They appear on the skin’s surface as dark brown or black flat moles. These should be observed carefully as the basic symptoms they can show are: bleeding, irregular form, change in size or color, itchiness or painfulness. Changes in a skin mole or multiple moles warrant immediate attention by a dermatologist.

Applying sun cream with a high UVA factor every time you expose parts of your body to the sun is strongly recommended as prophylactics.

In extremely rare cases the lentigo can develop as a malignant formation. The signs are enlargements of the mole and black coloration. Small circular marks appear around the mole and the skin becomes inflame. This is why moles should be avoided while shaving and they shouldn’t be scratched, hit or picked at.

Removal of skin moles
If you have a skin mole that meets any of the following criteria - change in size or form, irregular outlines, bleeding, irregular pigmentation or other unusual symptoms - the removal of that mole is mandatory.
Of course, you should always consult with a specialist who will determine whether the mole can be removed with a cut or if a more substantial surgical intervention will be needed.

Despite the fact that it is a widespread belief that the removal of skin moles is dangerous, this is not true at all. Their removal, if performed right, makes the skin smoother, cleaner and decreases the risk of irritations.

If a particular skin mole is causing you discomfort or you simply dislike it don’t hesitate to remove it. At the same time, emphasize the beauty marks you like by covering them with an eye pencil to make your individual beauty shine!

I had read an article about air pollution.
Air pollution means that the presence in the outdoor atmosphere of one or more contaminants such as dust, fumes, gas , mist, odor, smoke or vapor in quantities and of characteristics and duration such as to be injurious to human, plant, or animal life or to property, or to interfere unureasonably with the comfortable enjoyment of life and property. Nowadays, with the increasing urbanisation and industrialisaton, humans started to release more wastes into the atmosphere than nature could cope with. Since then, ,air pollution has been added to the air by industrial, commercial and domestic sources. As these sources are usually found in major cities, the gases that are produced are usually concentrated in the air around them. It is when these concentrated gases exceed safe limits that we have a pollution problem. Nature can no longer manage air pollution without our help. Thus, let we together

assalamualaikum madam,

i recently know that stress has two: that are stress that's good and stress that's bad... i read about this article from reader's digest book for august edition..

so from my reading:
stress that's good are;
1) having a filled-to-the-brim schedule that still contains several activities that you look forward to and enjoy doing.

2) Facing something with enough excitement to override any fears

3) being tired enough to get restful, deep sleep.

4) Feeling challenged and alert-primed to tackle the task at hand

and here are some stress that's bad;

1)having an overloaded schedule stuffed with obligations that you don't enjoy and wouldn't fulfill if you had a choice.

2) Facing something with a mixture of dread, worry and anxiety.

3) wanting to stay in all time rather than take a stab at getting through the day

4)having restless sleep, ulcers, back pain or recurrent illness.

Okay that's all...
thank you

I have read an article about burn fat by eating chocolate:
for those chocolate - loving(and eating) men are in better heath than those who don't like it, say researchers at Imperial College London, and Nestle. Over five days, a group of healthy young men (half liked chocolate, half didn't) ate the same foods, plus a choice of bread or chocolate. Blood and urine tests showed the chocolate lovers processed fatty foods better and had lower LDL ("BAD") cholesterol. So, indulging on occasion may have long-term health benefits-but, researchers say, only when paired with and otherwise healthy diet and lifestyle.

That’s all form me.
Thank you

Here is my reading about ‘YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT’. Here is some understanding about nutrients,
1) Antioxidants; substances that protect against free radicals, the molecules that attack cells and damage DNA.
2) Essential Fatty Acids; used to manufacture and repair cell membranes and to produce prostaglandins, which exert effects throughout the body. EFAs must be obtained from food sources; hence they are called ‘essential’.
3) Isoflavones; found chiefly in soy foods, these compounds can alter the action of true estrogens in the body.
4) Phytochemicals; plant molecules that may prevent and/or suppress disease in the human body.
5) Phytonutrient; biologically active substances, such as ascorbic acid and beta – carotene, the plant forms of vitamins C and A, that are need to sustain life.

I read a news about the toxic milk produced by China in this newspaper
Agence France-Presse - 9/23/2008
The Chinese company whose tainted baby milk triggered a food safety crisis that has seen 53,000 children fall ill failed to report complaints about the product for months.
Sanlu Group, the dairy firm first found to be selling melamine-contaminated goods, began receiving complaints of sick children as early as last December.
Communist officials in the north Chinese city of Shijiazhuang, where Sanlu is based, delayed referring the matter to higher authorities for more than a month after Sanlu finally told them of the problem on August 2.
"In the eight months from December 2007 to August 2, 2008, Sanlu made no report to relevant authorities in Shijiazhuang and took no corrective measures, allowing the situation to worsen further," the report on state-run CCTV's news channel said.
"(Sanlu and Shijiazhuang officials) violated rules on reporting major incidents involving food safety," it added, quoting the cabinet probe.
The report appeared to be the first official confirmation of Chinese media reports that news of the risks posed by the milk products was deliberately suppressed.
Reports of tainted milk only emerged in state-run media earlier this month.
The chemical melamine, normally used in making plastics, was apparently added to milk supplies to give the appearance of higher protein levels.
Although it knew kids were falling ill last December, Sanlu Group did not even begin testing its milk for dangerous substances until June, the cabinet probe reportedly found.
The government has blamed tainted products for four deaths, and said late Sunday that 12,892 children remained hospitalised with kidney problems, 104 of them in serious condition.
Meanwhile the repercussions outside mainland China continued to mount, with Hong Kong authorities reporting a second child ill with a kidney stone after drinking contaminated Chinese dairy products.
The Philippines and Vietnam on Tuesday became the latest countries to take precautionary steps.
Authorities in Manila ordered an immediate ban on the import and sale of Chinese dairy products.
Vietnam has ordered melamine tests on dairy products and tighter inspections on "all milk products and materials in the market, especially those imported from China."
Bangladesh, Brunei, Burundi, Gabon, Japan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Taiwan and Tanzania have already either barred Chinese milk products or taken some other form of action to curb consumption.
The scandal claimed its biggest political scalp so far on Monday with the resignation of China's product-safety watchdog chief, Li Changjiang.
Also sacked was Wu Xianguo, the top Communist official in Shijiazhuang. The city's mayor and several other government officials had been fired earlier.
Eighteen people have been arrested so far, including the sacked head of Sanlu Group, and dozens detained for questioning, according to state media.
China has been hit by a wave of embarrassing scandals in recent years over dangerous products including food, drugs and toys, spoiling its manufacturing reputation. The China Daily quoted a food safety expert warning of further disasters.

I hope that such cases will not happened again.I hope that all those company will consider about the public health not how much money they can earn.

It the book from reader's digest, such a big and thick book.. Entitled 101 ways to improve your memory.

In this side, I would like to share about one of the subtopic from this book entitled 'THE FIVE SENSES':

we already know that human has five senses that are SIGHT, SMELL, TASTE, TOUCH and HEARING.

These five senses actually channels to our brain.it are through the senses that all data is registered and gradually accumulates to become the rich and fertile ground that constitutes our memory.

Each of the senses is adjusted to a certain range of wavelength. these waves will be captured by different organs.

The information carried by our senses is recognized, continuously analyzed and processed by specialized areas of the brain.

Here are the areas that detect each of our senses.

1) Associative sphere:
- all the sensory information is combined to give an accurate overall perception
2) sensitive sphere:
- it receive tactile information, from the head to the feet.
3) Gustatory sphere:
- this is the zone where taste is interpreted
4) visual sphere:
- coming straight to retina, the first images gradually take shape.
5) Auditory sphere:
- sounds are transmitted here to analyzed
6) olfactory sphere:
this is the zone near the hippocampus where smells are synthesized.

My reading is about ‘AIR POLLUTION: how does it hurt?’ Even at low levels, air pollution can damage your health in several ways:
• IRRITATION : burning eyes, cough and chest tightness
• REDUCED LUNG FUNCTIONS: difficulty breathing deeply vigorously, more rapid and shallow breaths than normal.
• AGGRAVATED ASTHMA: Increased hospitalizations and emergency department visits to treat severe symptoms.
• INCREASED SUSCEPTIBILITY TO INFECTIONS: reduced ability to fight colds, flu, bronchitis and pneumonia because protective membranes in the nose and throat dry out and immune function is impaired.

My reading is about ‘Love Hurts…but it Can Also Heal’ state University had married couples create minor blister wounds on their skin, then discuss a neutral topic. Two months later, the test was repeated, but this time couples talked about a point of conflict. The result: couples took longer to heal after airing disagreements than when covering neutral round. Hostile couples who were critical and sarcastic healed slowest and produced less of the proteins linked to healing. Dr Brian Baker, an associate professor of psychiatry at the University of Toronto, performed another study that showed the physical effects of marital harmony. Married couples with mild hypertension wore blood-pressure monitors for 24 hours and completed a questionnaire about the quality of their marriage. Bad marriages raised while good marriages lowered blood pressure for couples. “Marriage tends to be good for your health, but it’s the quality of your marriage that’s important,” says Baker.

Today i read the article about organic food..why more and more people are eating organic food?what is the different?
Did you know that if you consumed an average apple you would be eating over 30 pesticides, even after you have washed it?

The quality of food has definitely gone down since the second world war. For instance, the levels of vitamin C in today's fruit bear no resemblance to the levels found in wartime fruit.
Organic foods are produced according to certain production standards, meaning they are grown without the use of conventional pesticides, artificial fertilizers, human waste, or sewage sludge, and that they were processed without ionizing radiation or food additives.
Organic food is known to contain 50% more nutrients, minerals and vitamins than produce that has been intensively farmed.

Processed organic food usually contains only organic ingredients. If non-organic ingredients are present, at least a certain percentage of the food's total plant and animal ingredients must be organic (95% in the United States[3] and Australia) and any non-organically produced ingredients are subject to various agricultural requirements. Foods claiming to be organic must be free of artificial food additives, and are often processed with fewer artificial methods, materials and conditions.

Organic facts
1.Organic food is much more rich in vitamins, minerals and fibre and retains the levels of nutrients for much longer

2.Your body will be more resistant to disease as it will have higher levels of the essential nutrients it needs to fight off infection

3.You will have more energy through consuming lower levels of toxins and chemicals that slow your body down

4.Organic food producers must meet stringent standards

5.Organic farms respect our water resources and do not leach nitrogens and other pollutants from their soil

6.Organic food just tastes so much better!

Today's topic that I would like to share with all of you is about the brain cancer which is related with the cellular phone. There have been a lot of suggestions that heavy cell phone use has a strong correlation with brain cancer.
This is what we supposed to know.
First, cell phones are instruments that receive and emit radiofrequency (RF) waves. These are low frequency radiations that could potentially penetrate body tissues and cause increase in cellular temperature. Second, traditional cell phone use forces us to hold the instrument in such close proximity to the head; it concentrates the radiation into the brain. It is not known for sure if these radiations cause mutations in DNA or ions in the body fluid. But at the same time, the long-term effects of the radiation on the body have not been studied.

Some of the other factors that determine cancer risk are size of the cellular phone, strength of connecting signal, proximity to the ear, and frequency of use.

So,we should be more alert with this kind of matter.Stop talking on the cell phone too much or u might get cancer easily.

hye there.Today i have read an article about how to manage stress.I hope with this tips it can help you on manage your stress.

* Talk with family, friends, clergy or other trusted advisers about your concerns and stresses and ask for their support.
* Take 15 to 20 minutes a day to sit quietly, breathe deeply and think of a peaceful scene.
* Learn to accept things you can't change. You don't have to solve all of life's problems.
* Count to 10 before answering or responding when you feel angry.
* Don't use smoking, drinking, overeating, drugs or caffeine to cope with stress. These make things worse.
* Look for the good in situations instead of the bad.
* Exercise regularly. Do something you enjoy, like walking, swimming, jogging, golfing, walking a pet, tai chi or cycling. Check with your doctor to determine what activity level is right for you.
* Think ahead about what may upset you and try to avoid it. For example, spend less time with people who bother you. If you're still working or volunteering, cut back on your hours and adjust your schedule to avoid driving in rush-hour traffic.
* Plan productive solutions to problems. For example, talk with your neighbor if the dog next door bothers you, and set clear limits on how much you'll do for family members.
* Learn to say no. Don't promise too much. Give yourself enough time to get things done.
* Join a support group ... maybe for people with heart disease, for women, for men, for retired persons, or some other group with which you identify.
* Seek out a mental health professional or counselor if you can't cope on your own. Helping people is their specialty. Ask your doctor, family or friends for recommendations. If they can't help, ask your spiritual leader or a hospital social worker for some names.

I'd read about one of arts in this world which is known as TATTOO.

So to get the tattoo, you must follow this procedure.
Here is some of the procedure:

This procedure is done by the tattooist and involves getting the customer into the chair and getting the area to be tattooed ready to receive the ink. This will involve the cleansing of the area and the removal of any hair. Then the artist will apply the picture to the area to be tattooed by putting an image transference paper known as flash with the outline of the image to be tattooed onto the skin.

Then the tattoo artist prepares the colors of inks he or she desires to use and the caps to hold the ink. The needle tips are chosen that will be needed for the creation of the tattoo. A good tattooist will make sure that he adheres to the health code and keep all the area clean. Most of the items, like needles and ink caps, are one-use-only and will be sterile wrapped to help reduce the chances of infections and diseases spreading.

Taking a machine that uses a needle to lay the ink deep into the skin makes a tattoo, so this means a lot of tiny puncture wounds are being made. There will be some bleeding. Under normal circumstances this will not be great. The main thing to avoid is drinking alcohol. Alcohol has a thinning effect on the blood and will produce a much greater amount of blood loss. No reputable tattooist will perform their services on one they know to have been drinking.

Depending on the size of your design and how long your tattooist is willing to work at any given moment will dictate how long it will take to get a tattoo finished. If it is small it can be done in one sitting usually in about 30 minutes to an hour. Medium to large sized tattoos can be done in one session. However, sometimes they are done over a period of several sessions some days apart. Very complex and large tattoos are almost always done over several sessions.

So before you do on tattooing, you should know the procedure, the effects and all kinds of matter.
Tattoo is one of the great body arts.

Thank You.

This article is about how to get the beautiful eyes.

So from this article i got to know how to take a good care of my eyes.
Although you lead a very busy life, you should spare 15-20 minutes every day to take care of your eyes and help them relax. There are several ways to do this which just take so little of your time but give you wonderful results.

Cucumbers, potatoes and salt are usually available and ready to use in your kitchen, so why don't you use those to enhance your eyes' beauty? You can crush cucumbers and potatoes together, then dip a piece of cotton into that mixture and put the cotton piece on your eyelids for about 15 minutes. After that gently wash your eyelids with water and your eyes will become fresh again.

Another tip to maintain pure-looking eyes is using salt. Put a little salt into a water tub and wash your eyes everyday with that liquid. This method will help your eyes look bright and pure.

If your eyes get swollen, a fast way to help reduce the redness is to put a clean spoon into the fridge and then gently press that spoon onto the redness for some minutes. This is a simple but very effective and fast way. However, if you have more time, you can put some crushed potato into the fridge and then put that potato onto the redness.

Dark rings around your eyes can be another problem. If you have some coconut oil, use it to rub around your eyes for about 5 minutes a day. It will help reduce the dark rings gradually. In addition, there is another simpler way to deal with those dark rings. You can dip a piece of cotton into some cold milk and lay that cotton piece over the dark rings. Dark rings cannot disappear overnight, it takes some time to get rid of this problem so please, be patient and you will get your expected results!

Sitting in front of the computer, reading books, watching television or simply just walking on the street all make your eyes overworked and look tired. So get enough rest my friends.
Hope all of you would have the beautiful eyes.

Today i have read about tsunami.now i want to share about "what is tsunami?"

Tsunami is a Japanese word with the English translation, "harbor wave." The phenomenon we call tsunami is a series of large waves of extremely long wavelength and period usually generated by a violent, impulsive undersea disturbance or activity near the coast or in the ocean. When a sudden displacement of a large volume of water occurs, or if the sea floor is suddenly raised or dropped by an earthquake, big tsunami waves can be formed by forces of gravity. Earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions, explosions, and even the impact of cosmic bodies, such as meteorites, can generate tsunamis. Tsunamis can savagely attack coastlines, causing devastating property damage and loss of life.

"what should you do?"
1. If you are at home and hear there is a tsunami warning, you should make sure your entire family is aware of the tsunami. Your family should evacuate your house if you live in a tsunami evacuation zone.

2. If you are at the beach or near the ocean and you feel the earth shake, move immediately to higher ground. Do not wait for a tsunami warning to be announced.

3. If you are on a ship or boat, do not return to port if you are at sea and a tsunami warning has been issued for your area. Tsunami can cause rapid changes in water level and unpredictable dangerous current in harbours and ports.

today i would like to share about "skin cancer".

Skin cancer is the most common of all human cancers. Some form of skin cancer is diagnosed in more than 1 million people in the United States each year.

Cancer occurs when normal cells undergo a transformation during which they grow and multiply without normal controls.

As the cells multiply, they form a mass called a tumor. Tumors of the skin are often referred to as lesions.

Tumors are cancerous only if they are malignant. This means that they encroach on and invade neighboring tissues because of their uncontrolled growth.

Tumors may also travel to remote organs via the bloodstream or lymphatic system.

This process of invading and spreading to other organs is called metastasis.

Tumors overwhelm surrounding tissues by invading their space and taking the oxygen and nutrients they need to survive and function.

the skin cancer treatment:
Treatment for basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma is straightforward. Usually, surgical removal of the lesion is adequate. Malignant melanoma, however, may require several treatment methods, including surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Because of the complexity of treatment decisions, people with malignant melanoma may benefit from the combined expertise of the dermatologist, a cancer surgeon, and an oncologist.

What you are doing at the age 20?
Still playing around,having fun?
Or already become a wellknown person?having a good career?
But when I read this article it make me think about my two friends..
One of them die at the age 19,another just passed away in June this year.
Both of them die because of CANCER..
Cancer is a class of diseases in which a group of cells display uncontrolled growth ,intrusion on and destruction of adjacent tissues, and sometimes spread to other locations in the body via lymph or blood. Most cancers form a tumor but some, like leukemia, do not.
Cancer may affect people at all ages, even fetuses, but the risk for most varieties increases with age.Cancer causes about 13% of all deaths.According to the American Cancer Society, 7.6 million people died from cancer in the world during 2007.Cancers can affect all animals.
Nearly all cancers are caused by abnormalities in the genetic material of the transformed cells. These abnormalities may be due to the effects of carcinogens, such as tobacco smoke, radiation, chemicals, or infectious agents. Other cancer-promoting genetic abnormalities may be randomly acquired through errors in DNA replication, or are inherited, and thus present in all cells from birth. The heritability of cancers are usually affected by complex interactions between carcinogens and the host's genome. New aspects of the genetics of cancer pathogenesis, such as DNA methylation, and microRNAs are increasingly recognized as important.
Cancer is generally classified according to the tissue from which the cancerous cells originate, the primary tumor, as well as the normal cell type they most resemble.
-Carcinoma
-Sarcoma
-Lymphoma and leukemia
-Germ cell tumor
-Blastic tumor or blastoma
Cancer symptoms can be divided into three groups:
Local symptoms: unusual lumps or swelling (tumor), hemorrhage (bleeding), pain and/or ulceration. Compression of surrounding tissues may cause symptoms such as jaundice (yellowing the eyes and skin).
Symptoms of metastasis (spreading): enlarged lymph nodes, cough and hemoptysis, hepatomegaly (enlarged liver), bone pain, fracture of affected bones and neurological symptoms. Although advanced cancer may cause pain, it is often not the first symptom.
Systemic symptoms: weight loss, poor appetite, fatigue and cachexia (wasting), excessive sweating (night sweats), anemia and specific paraneoplastic phenomena, i.e. specific conditions that are due to an active cancer, such as thrombosis or hormonal changes.
having cancer does not equal to end world..
it can be treated by surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, monoclonal antibody therapy or other methods. The choice of therapy depends upon the location and grade of the tumor and the stage of the disease, as well as the general state of the patient.

Nowaday,it is not familiar to see vandalism in an article.
What is vandalism?
Vandalism -- the wilful damaging or defacing of property belonging to another person or to the public -- is covered under Section 430 of the Criminal Code of Canada dealing with "mischief" and "wilful damage." Committing an act of vandalism is a criminal offence.

Section 430(1) states: "Everyone commits mischief who wilfully (a) destroys or damages property, (b) renders property dangerous, useless, inoperative or ineffective, (c) obstructs, interrupts or interferes with the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property, or (d) obstructs, interrupts or interferes with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property."

Those who commit mischief in relation to private property may be found guilty of an indictable offence and are liable to imprisonment for five years, or of an offence punishable on summary conviction; and those committing mischief in relation to public property may be found guilty of an indictable offence and are liable to imprisonment for 14 years, or of an offence punishable on summary conviction. Everyone who commits mischief that causes actual danger to life may be found guilty of an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for life.

If the conditions surrounding the offences dealing with public and private property are of a sufficiently serious nature, the prosecution may elect to proceed by way of indictment rather than summary conviction.

Furthermore, a court that convicts an accused of an indictable offence may, upon application of an aggrieved person, at the time sentence is imposed, order that the accused pay an amound to satisfy or compensate for the loss or damage to property suffered by the applicant as a result of the commission of the offence.

Examples of vandalism include salting lawns, cutting trees without permission, egg throwing, breaking windows, arson, spraying paint on others' properties, tagging, placing glue into locks, tire slashing, keying (scratching) paint, ransacking a place and flooding someones house by clogging a sink and leaving the water on.
In the case of vandalism to private property, the owner – the victim, may feel that they were specifically targeted by the perpetrator(s) – this is not necessarily the case. An example of such a crime would be the wilful destruction of a car window for no obvious purpose save to give the perpetrator(s) possibly a few seconds of entertainment, with no consideration, or empathy for the detriment to the state of mind or inconvenience of the victim.

Motives
Reasoning for such actions can be attributed to anger, envy or spontaneous, opportunistic behaviour – possibly for peer acceptance or bravado in gang cultures, or disgruntlement with the target (victim) person or society. Opportunistic vandalism of this nature may also be filmed, the mentality of which can be akin to happy slapping. The large scale prevalence of gang graffiti in some inner cities has almost made it acceptable to the societies based there – so much so that it may go unnoticed, or not be removed, possibly because it may be a fruitless endeavour, to be graffitied on once again.

As we all know,we as the students should care about our health. One of the best way to stay healthy is by get an enough sleep.

I'd read about the way to get a better sleep in bad times.
I think these tips are very useful for us.
So here are 12 tips to get a better sleep in bad times:

-Caffeine is a stimulant and should be stopped four to six hours before bedtime.
-Nicotine is also a stimulant and should be avoided near bedtime and if you wake up during the night.Have fewer cigarettes during the four hours before bed, and don't have any 30-45 minutes before bed.
-Alcohol is a depressant; although it may make it easier to fall asleep, it causes you to wake up during the night.
-A light snack may be sleep inducing, but a heavy meal too close to bedtime interferes with sleep. Stay away from protein and stick to carbohydrates.
-You may not want to exercise vigorously just before bed. It may be best to exercise late in the afternoon.
-Minimize noise, light, and excessive cold or hot temperature during sleep by using ear plugs, window blinds, or an electric blanket or air conditioner appropriately. If your room is too hot (above 75 degrees) or too cold (below 54 degrees), it can affect your sleep.
-Try not to drink anything after 8 p.m. Often people wake up to go to the bathroom (once or twice a night as you get older is normal).
-Restrict the amount of time you spend in bed to the actual amount of time you sleep.
-Go to bed only when you are sleepy. This avoids that time you often spend trying to sleep but failing to do so. Get out of bed if you can't fall asleep or go back to sleep within 10-15 minutes; return to bed only when you feel sleepy.
-Use the bedroom for sleep only; do not watch TV, listen to the radio, eat, or read in bed.
-Get up at the same time each morning. Keep your biological clock going in the right direction, otherwise you will be fighting against it. Do not nap during the day. The time it takes you to fall asleep is decreased by the longer you have been awake.
-Allow yourself one hour to unwind before bed. Brush your teeth one hour before getting into bed and wash your face slowly with warm water.

So if you follow all these rules you might have a better sleep.

Another article i have read today is about Nuclear Weapon.
I think everyone must well know about what is nuclear weapon. A nuclear weapon is an explosive device that derives its destructive force from nuclear reactions, either fission or a combination of fission and fusion. Both reactions release vast quantities of energy from relatively small amounts of matter; a modern thermonuclear weapon weighing little more than a thousand kilograms can produce an explosion comparable to the detonation of more than a billion kilograms of conventional high explosive.[1] Even small nuclear devices with yields equivalent to only a few thousand tons of TNT can devastate a city. Nuclear weapons are considered weapons of mass destruction, and their use and control has been a major aspect of international policy since their debut.
There is only 2 nuclear weapons have been detonated offensively in history, both are during the closing days of World War 2. The first nuclear bomb code-named "Little Boy" was dropped the Japanese city of Hiroshima. After 3 days another nuclear bomb code-named "Fat Boy" dropped on another city of Japan, Nagasaki. These bombings caused immediate deaths of around 120,000 people, injuries sustained from the explosion and acute radiation sickness, and even more deaths from long-term effects of (ionising) radiation. The use of these weapons was and remains controversial.
I feel very sad after i read this articles. Nuclear reaction should be use to bring benefit for all the men kind in the world but not for war and destruction . I think the creator of the nuclear reactions must have the same feeling with me if he know that his creation used by military to create such destructive weapon.

-The mixture of nicotine and carbon monoxide in each cigarette you smoke temporarily increases your heart rate and blood pressure, straining your heart and blood vessels.
-Tar coats your lungs like soot in a chimney and causes cancer.
-Smoking causes disease and is a slow way to die. The strain put on your body by smoking often causes years of suffering. Emphysema is an illness that slowly rots your lungs. People with emphysema often get bronchitis again and again, and suffer lung and heart failure.
-Smoking causes fat deposits to narrow and block blood vessels which leads to heart attack.

SWINGING IN THE CITY

Golfing goes beyond the fairway for urban golf as manicured courses are replaced by disused city such as a building site, a rooftop, or a quiet street. Holes are substituted by targets such as garbage bins. Also known as cross golf or street golf, some say it all began outside a pub in Edinburg Scotland, in 1741, while others claim a German invented the sport in 1992 when he began practicing his swing near some office blocks.
So from this articles..I can see how many people loves golf very much and even a quiet street could be useful for playing golf...Well as long as there is a will, there is a way...^_^.Anything can be done as long as we are determine to achieve what we wish for.

FREE RICE

Still remember about the time where Asia is dealing with a rice crisis...??
Here's is the solution that had been taken.
A NOVEL SOLUTION TO WORLD HUNGER: freerice.com is pledging, well free rice to the hungry around the world. By playing the vocabulary game and for every correct word, Free Rice will donate 20 grains of rice through the UN food program to help end world hunger. The site's sponsors will pay for the donated rice.

From this article I can see what is more important than English language even in helping the world battle the hunger among the nations. So if you know the meaning of words like "celebrate”, “bailey" and "egress", you could help feed the hungry! And if you don't, you can still build your vocab. It's a win-win situation.

PURPLE PROS

A study from the Ohio State University shows that purple corn is a powerful weapon in the fight against colon cancer cells because the corn pigment not only completely stopped cancer cells growing, but also killed some 20 per cent of them without affecting healthy cells. The secret? Anthocyanins that give vegetables and fruits their rich red, purple and blue colours. Little anthocyanin is absorb into bloodstream but a large proportion travels through the gastro-intestinal tract, where those tissues absorb the compound.
Other good recourses include blueberries, raspberries, red apples, eggplant, rhubarb, red cabbage and blackcurrants.

Good Gums
Do you know, the healthier your gums are, and the better off the rest of your body is. Preventing gum disease with good oral hygiene is an easy way to help ward off heart attacks, strokes, wrinkles, impotence, some cancer and certain pregnancy complications.
We are urged to;
Eat yogurt - People who consume plenty of dairy products are less likely to have gums disease. It is because the lactic acids in food such as yoghurt and some cheeses. The healthy bacteria in these foods seem to control the growth of bad bacteria.
Don't smoke - It's a major gums disease. Marijuana is also bad for gums. Toxic substances in the smoke likely hinder the body's ability to fight inflammation.

When you go to this link you can see the world's only 7-star hotel-Dubai's Burj Al Arab, just down the coast from the Dubai International Marine Club.

At 1993 Dubai was still a country like Africa and many people do not know about this country..But all this change when Dubai discovered oil in their country..
Now,Dubai is one of the seven emirates and most populous city of the United Arab Emirates.
It is located along the southern coast of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula. The city of Dubai is sometimes called "Dubai city" to distinguish it from the emirate.
The development of oil enable them to construct many beautiful and unexpected building including Burj Al Arab, the world's tallest freestanding hotel and Jebel Ali port (reputedly the world's largest man made port) as well as the creation of new residential developments, were used to market Dubai for purposes of tourism. i have read an article about vitamin. So everyone must know what is vitamin, right?
A vitamin is an organic compound required as a nutrient in tiny amounts by an organism. A compound is called a vitamin when it cannot be synthesized in sufficient quantities by an organism, and must be obtained from the diet. Thus, the term is conditional both on the circumstances and the particular organism.
The vitamins are classified to many types and each types have their own function but some also have multiple function.
After i read this article, i find out that vitamins is very important to keep our body always healthy. So it is recommended by World Health Organization to take suitable dose of vitamins to keep our body healthy. But if we take overdose of vitamin, it will bring disease to our body.

What is mean by pollution?
Pollution is the introduction of contaminants into an environment that causes instability, disorder, harm or discomfort to the physical systems or living organisms they are in.Pollution can take the form of chemical substances, or energy, such as noise, heat, or light energy. Pollutants, the elements of pollution, can be foreign substances or energies, or naturally occurring; when naturally occurring, they are considered contaminants when they exceed natural levels. Pollution is often classed as point source or non point source pollution.
Now, pollution is getting worst day by day,all cause by human activities.
Pollution can cause a lot of problems to earth and also will affect our health.
So now we all should minimize all the activities which can cause pollution to earth. We should start protect our earth from pollution now because we still need to live in this earth and also our next generations.

I had read an article about genes and disease and I would like to share with you.
The sequence of the human genome is providing us with the first holistic view of our genetic heritage. While not yet complete, continued refinement of the data bring us ever closer to a complete human genome reference sequence. This will be a fundamental resource in future biomedical research.

The 46 human chromosomes between them house almost 3 billion base pairs of DNA that contains about 30,000 - 40,000 protein-coding genes. The coding regions make up less than 5% of the genome and some chromosomes have a higher density of genes than others.

Most of the genetic disorders featured are the direct result of a mutation in one gene. However, one of the most difficult problems ahead is to find out how genes contribute to diseases that have a complex pattern of inheritance, such as in the cases of diabetes, asthma, cancer and mental illness. In all these cases, no one gene has the yes/no power to say whether a person has a disease or not. It is likely that more than one mutation is required before the disease is manifest, and a number of genes may each make a subtle contribution to a person's susceptibility to a disease; genes may also affect how a person reacts to environmental factors. Unraveling these networks of events will undoubtedly be a challenge for some time to come, and will be amply assisted by the availability of the sequence of the human genome.

Today i want to share with you 7 habits. Its really can help you like i do.

The Seven Habits

The chapters are dedicated to each of the habits, which are represented by the following imperatives:

1. BE PPROACTIVE.
>Here, Covey emphasizes the original sense of the term "proactive" as coined by Victor Frankl. You can either be proactive or reactive when it comes to how you respond to certain things. When you are reactive, you blame other people and circumstances for obstacles or problems. Being proactive means taking responsibility for every aspect of your life. Initiative and taking action will then follow. Covey also argues that man is different from other animals in that he has self-consciousness. He has the ability to detach himself and observe his own self; think about his thoughts. He goes on to say how this attribute enables him: It gives him the power not to be affected by his circumstances. Covey talks about stimulus and response. Between stimulus and response, we have the power of free will to choose our response.

2. BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND.
>This chapter is about setting long-term goals based on "true north" principles. Covey recommends formulating a "personal vision statement" to document one's perception of one's own vision in life. He sees visualization as an important tool to develop this. He also deals with organizational vision statements, which he claims to be more effective if developed and supported by all members of an organization rather than prescribed.

3. PUT FIRST THING FIRST.
>Here, Covey describes a framework for prioritizing work that is aimed at short-term goals, at the expense of tasks that appear not to be urgent, but are in fact very important. Delegation is presented as an important part of time management. Successful delegation, according to Covey, focuses on results and benchmarks that are to be agreed upon in advance, rather than prescribed as detailed work plans.

4.THINK WIN/WIN.
>describes an attitude whereby mutually beneficial solutions are sought that satisfy the needs of oneself, or, in the case of a conflict, both parties involved.

5. SEEK FIRST TO UNDERSTAND,THEN TO BE UNDERSTOOD.
> Covey warns that giving out advice before having empathetically understood a person and their situation will likely result in rejection of that advice. Thoroughly reading out your own autobiography will decrease the chance of establishing a working communication.

6. SYNERGIZES.
>describes a way of working in teams. Apply effective problem solving. Apply collaborative decision making. Value differences. Build on divergent strengths. Leverage creative collaboration. Embrace and leverage innovation. It is put forth that when synergy is pursued as a habit, the result of the teamwork will exceed the sum of what each of the members could have achieved on their own. “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”

7. SHARPEN THE SAW FOCUSES ON BALANCED SELF-SATISFACTION.
> Regain what Covey calls "production capability" by engaging in carefully selected recreational activities.

Today I want to share about 'Jogging'.

Jogging is a form of trotting or running at a slow or leisurely pace. The main intention is to increase fitness with less stress on the body than from faster running.

Here are some simple tips on jogging.

1. Consulting your physician is important if you are over weight before getting started with jogging.

2. Give up smoking which, in any case, is detrimental to cardiovascular fitness. Smokers get exhausted fast could lead to palpitations.

3. Get a good pair of jogging shoes.

4. Avoid jogging on hilly terrain to prevent injury. Running downhill, you can tumble down injuring yourself.

5. Take longer and steady strides. Land your steps straight without splaying to prevent ankle injury.

6. Avoid bouncing too much and keep yourself erect. Don’t hunch over.

7. Choose a pristine place to jog.

8. Begin slowly and increase speed as you get used to jogging. As a thumb rule, you can step up speed by 10-12 meters a week.

9. Carry a walkman along. Music helps relax the mind.

Benefits of Jogging:
Jogging burns more calories than walking as you consume more oxygen per mile you run than walking in addition to the impact factor. Circulation increases briefly as does the heart beat. Once you get seasoned enough, you begin to see benefits of jogging. You won’t find sudden thumping of your heart which gets increased and vital oxygen. Jogging tones muscles too. Perhaps it is the best exercise for overweight people. Because of the impact they can burn more calories from hips, thighs and abdominal area. Rotating the torso as you run gives a smoother stride in addition to strengthening waist muscle.

There are disadvantages associated with jogging too. The impact factor is likely to cause joint problems. Another one, although some people don’t consider this a disadvantage, is the sense of loss you feel through the day when you miss jogging for a day.

Here I want to share about the laptop..

A laptop computer, also known as a notebook computer, is a small personal computer designed for mobile use. A laptop integrates all of the typical components of a desktop computer, including a display, a keyboard, a pointing device (a touchpad, also known as a trackpad, or a pointing stick) and a battery into a single portable unit. The rechargeable battery is charged from an AC/DC adapter and has enough capacity to power the laptop for several hours, enabling it to be used virtually anywhere.

A laptop is usually shaped like a large notebook with thickness of 0.7-1.5 inches (1.7-4cm) and dimensions ranging from 10x8 inches (27x22cm, 13" display) to 15x11 inches (39x28cm, 17" display) and up. Modern laptops weigh 3 to 12 pounds (1.4 to 5.4 kg), and some older laptops were even heavier. Most laptops are designed in the flip form factor to protect the screen and the keyboard when closed.

The advantages:
The main advantage of laptops over their larger desktop counterparts is the inherent portability. Another advantage is the laptop's ability to operate on battery power in the case of a power outage and less energy consumption.

The disadvantages:
Current compatibility problems in the laptop trade are reflective of the early era of personal computer hardware, when there were many different manufacturers, each and every one of them having their own connectivity and mounting systems and incompatibility was the norm. While there are accepted world standards of form factors for all the peripherals and add-in PC cards used in the desktop computers, there are still no firm worldwide standards relating to today's laptops' internal form factors, such as supply of electric voltage, motherboard layouts, internal adapters used in connecting the optical drive, LCD cable, keyboard and floppy drive to the main board. Most affected by this are users uneducated in the relevant fields, especially if they attempt to connect their laptops with incompatible hardware or power adapters.

WIILL WE NEED BIO-FUELS??

Fuel prices may be one of the hottest issues of today. I think it basically stems from the fact that Americans don’t really care what goes on as long as the price of gas is low. Ethics and integrity is willingly thrown out the window so long as the price of gas stays affordable.

The truth of it all is that we will never “run out of oil”. How do I know? Supply and demand. If we were in danger of running out of oil it would become extremely expensive. As supply decreases prices increase. So how much are we willing to spend for our personal transportation? That’s what it all comes down to, because the closer we get to running out, the higher the price will get. It’s not going to skyrocket to $20 a gallon in a year though, as the supply gradually decreases, prices will gradually increase. Eventually, we won’t be able to afford it.

So what happens when oil prices creep up beyond our willingness/ability to pay? We find other ideas. Car companies won’t sell cars if people don’t buy gas. So they will be forced to make cars that are affordable or go out of business. You can bet that everyone who uses oil now will quickly find some other form of energy that their technology will run on.

Although we will never run out of oil, we will need alternative fuel sources for when the prices become too much for the average person. What’s the best idea to solve our problems?

Hydrogen? Corn? Nope. Algae.Algae will be the future of fuel. Algae as a fuel source is incredible. Some types of algae are made up of 50% oil, which can be made into bio-fuel.

Advantages of Algae Fuel:

1. After the initial building of algae farms it would cost 1/3 of what we spend every year buying oil from other nations.
2. The money we spend on algae fuel, is not leaving our country, but actually helping to stimulate our own economy.
3. Algae farms could be used to clean up waste streams from humans or animal farms.
4. Corn can produce 100 gallons per acre per year whereas algae can produce 4,000 gallons per acre per year.
5. Using 80% of the acreage we now use for bio-fuels, we could fuel the entire United States using algae farms.
6. The acreage used for algae farms is likely to be desert land, which is unused land anyway.
7. A corn crop takes a year to grow, an algae crop can be grown in a couple of days.

Just for your information and think aboit it and what's your opinion?.

MEN SHOPPING TIPS

Women really love shopping, but men usually find it little difficult. It really becomes hard for men to hit the local mall, they make good excuses to avoid shopping. The reason is that they actually don’t know anything about shopping; they really need tips. Men can’t stand to keep on trying things, they give up quickly.

Clothes’ shopping is not as simple as to go for buying any latest new mobile, it is a like a task, and men do it mostly when they really need it. The key for a successful shopping is to buy as much in a sufficient time. You can use various tips to quicken your shopping without hampering your style.

You should make a detailed list of the things that you want to purchase. Organize and plan your shopping for a particular time. Prepare a budget, so that you know how much you can spend easily on your shopping. Always consider your budget to avoid the unnecessary spending of money, and time.

Get a general idea of the stores, boutiques, malls, and departmental stores where you will be going to buy things. Consider the latest fashion magazines for new styles and trends, including the colors and hot brands. You must know about your right size, so that you may pick the items that are more appropriate for you.

It is better to avoid shopping during the peak hours as the crowds are heavy and it may hinder your task. This mostly happens in Sunday shopping markets. Weekend shopping is really good, you can go outside in mornings or evenings.

Enjoy your shopping...

Today i want to share an article about Yoga
Yoga refers to traditional physical and mental disciplines originating in India; to the goal achieved by those disciplines; and to one of the six orthodox schools of Hindu philosophy.
Major branches of yoga include Raja Yoga, Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, and Hatha Yoga.Raja Yoga, compiled in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and known simply as yoga in the context of Hindu philosophy, is part of the Samkhya tradition. Many other Hindu texts discuss aspects of yoga, including the Vedas, Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Hatha Yoga Pradipika, the Shiva Samhita and various Tantras.
The Sanskrit word yoga has many meanings, and is derived from the Sanskrit root yuj, meaning "to control", "to yoke" or "to unite".Translations include "joining", "uniting", "union", "conjunction", and "means".Outside India, the term yoga is typically associated with Hatha Yoga and its asanas (postures) or as a form of exercise. A practitioner of Yoga is called a Yogi (unisex term) or Yogini (for female).
The goal of yoga may range from anywhere between improved health and reaching Moksha.Within the monist schools of Advaita Vedanta and Shaivism the goal of yoga takes the form of Moksha, which is liberation from all worldly suffering and the cycle of birth and death (Samsara), at which point there is a realisation of identity with the Supreme Brahman. In the Mahabharata, the goal of yoga is variously described as entering the world of Brahma, as Brahman, or as perceiving the Brahman or Atman that pervades all things. For the bhakti schools of Vaishnavism, bhakti or service to Svayam bhagavan itself is the ultimate goal of the yoga process, wherein perfection culminates in an eternal relationship with Vishnu, Rama or Krsna.

Remember When......
Why is it that you remember all the words to Madonna's early hits but have trouble recalling what you had for dinner last week....??
There's growing evidence to support the theory of a "reminiscence bump"- a peek in memory during adolescence. Adults over 30 retain more memories from this time(ages 15-18 fro men, 13-14 fro women) than from any other period in their lives, with things such as song lyrics and personal memories remaining crystal clear. No one knows exactly why the reminiscence bump occurs but one theory that our brain perform at their best during this period, soaking up information like sponges.
We can see that is why we tend to forget things easily when our age is increasing..huhu^_^.
Anyway for you guys, good luck for your final examination.

I would like to share about an article which is
FOUR LIFE-SAVING NUMBERS

Women with heart disease can reverse the condition if they get a few key measurements in check. Aim for these benchmarks.

*Cholesterol HDL is key. Strive for over 40mg/dL(the higher, the better).LDL is less important but ideally, you should get it under 100 mg/dL. If you can't maintain it, you likely have an element of diabetes.

*Blood pressure. It's a major driver of a heart disease risk, and lower is better. Get your under 115/75 mm/Hg.

*Waist size. Measured at a level of your belly button, it should be half of your height (that's 84 cm if your height is 168cm) or less.

Therefore do maintain our health by being more concern in the intake of our daily meals.

LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE

Lacking a sense of humor not just bad for your social life, it might also be harming your cardiovascular health. A new study shows that laughter actually increases blood flowing in the body, proving right the old adage that laughter is the best medicine, at least when it comes to the heart.
A research had been conducted by measuring vascular dilation after people chuckled at funny bits or reacted to intense images. In total, the researchers gathered 160 measurement of blood flow in the brachial artery, which connects the shoulder and elbow. 19 out of 20 subjects increased healthy blood flow by average of 22 percent. Comparing the amused and stressful states brought on by film clips, more than 50 percent more blood flowed when laughing.
As the conclusion, do make yourself burst into laughter at least 30 minutes a day. It also works to get rid of excess stress we face I can say especially exam is just around the corner...HAHA=D

Where would you go for up-to-date virus protection software? Would you simply head on over to the local geek shop? You know the one with the Bill Gates wannabe re-stoking the shelves with lame computer games. We've all been in these places before. Although you can probably find quality virus protection software here, there are other venues to consider. For example, what about the World-Wide-Web itself? You shop in cyberspace, right? Heck, I would will go ahead and take a guess that pretty much all of us do these days. It's simply the modern way of convenience. Where else can we literally find every thing we're looking for? Not to mention that we don't even have to leave the comfort of our own sofas.

Why do you need virus protection software you might ask? Well, let's just consider the Internet for a moment. After all, this is where you're exposed. If you're never online, then I guess there is no reason to worry about or bother with virus protection software. However, most of us love net-land, and surf through it daily. When we do, our IP address is out there for all to see, our system is vulnerable to bugs, viruses, and spam. In order to keep all this trash out, we require the newest and greatest virus protection software. This way we don't have to worry about the bad getting in, or our PCs becoming infected.

Time to change policy on foreign workers

THE time has come for Malaysia to change its policy on dependence on foreign labour as it will not bring progress in the long run, Tamil Nesan said in its editorial.

It said the 2.2 million foreign workers now represented about 20% of the work force in the country.

Malaysia had to depend on foreign labour from Indonesia, Bangladesh, India, Vietnam, Myanmar and the Philippines as there were not enough locals to work at the construction sites, estates, farms and in the service and manufacturing sectors, it said.

The paper said it was not wrong to employ foreign workers if no local work force was available but some electronics factories were employing foreign workers and paying them less rather than giving the opportunity to locals.

The main reason why the number of foreign workers are increased is because employers were taking the easy way out by hiring foreigners. Although foreign workers caused problems, employers still gave them priority over locals. So government should take action on the emplyors who always hiring problem foreign workers

Money or Friendship. which one is important for you?

I know now a days most of the people think that the money is the first and best thing for human life. Most of them think money makes many thinks in this world. But i disagree on that. Ya i believe money makes many thinks in this world. But money didn't give happiness and peacefull mind and surrounding in this world. Friendship gives happiness, peaceful and so on, in this world. So for me friendship is important for my life than money. For friends can share ideas, talents, skills and intelligence to earn money but money cannot buy one true friend. Money can't buy happiness which can be given to you by your friends.

Ying SHing(CA08141)http://www.relaxationexpert.co.uk/MeetingBasicNeeds.html

What Are Your Basic Needs
Psychologist Abraham Maslow first wrote about basic needs as early as 1943. He proposed that for human beings to progress fully they needed to have certain needs fulfilled in a certain order. Called Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, humans had to have simple basic needs met in order to free their minds to pursue higher growth. He proposed seven levels of need, though most psychologists and business coaches grasp only the first five. Recently, an eighth level of need has been recognized.

Maslow's list of needs follow a pyramid, with the broadest and most basic needs on the bottom and the most narrowly defined on the top. They are:

-Biological and Physiological
-Needs
-Safety Needs
-Belonging and Love Needs
-Esteem Needs
-Self-Actualization
-Cognitive Needs
-Aesthetic Needs
-Transcendence

The first four needs are often called deficiency needs or basic needs. These must be met in order for us to survive and grow. They deal with keeping our bodies alive and our minds safe and healthy. The last four are called being needs. These are psychological and spiritual needs. They stimulate our minds, develop our creativity, and expand our spirits.

I want to share one article that i had read today. It's all about the art of thinking:

Thinking efficiently requires more than just logic. Here are some tips on developing the art of thinking. What do I mean by the art of thinking? It may seem that powerful thinking should simply be logical, and nothing more. The ideal thinker then, might be Spock, the "Vulcan" in the "Star Trek" television show and movies. Of course, if you watch the program, you may recall that the humans aboard the spaceship had most of the solutions and new ideas. Spock only knew how to analyze.

The most useful processes of thought need to do more than run a "logic program." After all, we need to choose what to think about, and we also sometimes need new ways to think about things. These tasks are not a matter of applying logic, but of choosing values and pursuing them creatively.

This is where the art of thinking comes into play. A definition of art: "Disciplines, or those parts of disciplines, which do not rely solely on the scientific method." This includes such arts as economic forecasting and psychological therapy, which might someday rely solely on the scientific method. However, at the moment neither these nor thinking can be described, taught, or practiced solely as a scientific method.

To understand this it might help to use another art as a metaphor. Painting, for example, can shed some light on thinking. The goal is to express something on canvas. You start with the paints, brushes, palettes and other tools. But all the best tools aren't enough.

You need to learn how to paint. You learn to draw, and perhaps learn the geometry of creating perspective in a scene. You learn how to mix the colors and how to show light reflecting. This is the science of painting.

The tools and science still aren't enough, though. You need to practice, so you paint again and again to learn how to best get various effects. Then, with the tools, the knowledge, and the practice, you are ready to create something new of your own. Perhaps. Of course there is nothing in your painting books that says, "This is what you want to say with your painting." Here, the "art" enters. First, you choose according to your values what you will paint.

Then you find a way to express yourself creatively. You rely on your intuition to show something new, some unique perspective that means something to you (and hopefully others).

How do you know how well you did? First, the painting either makes sense to you or it doesn't. Second, it makes sense to others, or not. Of course, some won't appreciate a good painting, but if nobody sees the value in your painting, it isn't likely that they are all aesthetically "blind." Feedback matters, because painting is not just about expressing yourself, but also about communicating your vision to others.

I wanna share the article about
how to take good pictures.

It doesn’t always matter if you have the latest model of the camera or the leading brands in the market. I have personally seen great pictures clicked with the help of some very modest cameras. Whenever you are deciding upon the subject or the moment you come across some very exciting element in nature, look out for the area around the subject. If may be nature photography you are interested in and having a cluttered background around your subject can actually cause it to merge rather than create an emphasis about what you want to portray, through the picture.

Is it not necessary that one should use flash only at night. In photography, flash is useful on cloudy days when it can to throw some light onto the subject. Photographs that are clicked in bright sunlight can cause harsh shadows on the face and this would definitely never flatter any person. In such cases, use flash to even out the harsh light on the object, which would also result in better clarity of the picture.

It is not always compulsory to keep your subject at the center of the frame. This is one very useful photography tip that I would like to mention here; having your subject off center can help to create some dynamic and very interesting compositions. You will need to visualize a grid which would help you in planning a better composition.

Develop the skills of using lines within the composition. You need to develop an eye to see geometrical patterns within the frame. The use of curves, diagonals and straight lines can help to create an added element of interest for any picture.

Study the direction of light and how it can help to enhance your subject. Harsh light is a strict no no for portraits. Refer to the works of great photographers and study the distribution of light. Use soft lighting for people photographs. For landscapes, long shadows and photographs that are clicked in the early morning hours and late evenings, can give dramatic results.

If you are looking to understand how to take good pictures, you need to realize one basic thing. It all depends upon your power of observation. When you are out clicking photographs, you can also observe and hunt for some reflections and shadows that can help to add depth to an otherwise boring structure or backdrop.

Having everything in focus may not always work wonders for you. At times, you can have your subject in focus and keep the background slightly blurred. This is possible through the use of different apertures settings and you can know more about the manual settings, once you refer to the camera guide.

It is definitely up to the photographer to use his/her skills to the best of one’s ability. Following the basic rules or photography tips can help you get the best possible frames, but to be able to take good pictures also depends upon the extent you develop your skills. Ensure that you refer to the latest trends in photography and be up-to-date with the developments as well. And of course, be creative and let your imaginations soar.

"Thumb Drive"

A thumb drive is portable memory storage. It is re-writeable and holds its memory without a power supply, unlike RAM. Thumb drives will fit into any USB port on a computer. They will also "hot swap," which means a user can plug the drive into a computer and will not have to restart it to access the thumb drive. The drives are small, about the size of a human thumb - hence, their name - and are very stable memory storage devices.
Some users see their lack of compatibility with Windows 98 as a drawback of thumb drives, since so many users are still running the operating system. However, most thumb drives come equipped with software that will install a Win98 driver on the computer, enabling the user to connect a thumb drive. Installing the software takes about 60 seconds. Thumb drives also pose security threats, since they are easily concealed. Users could copy proprietary information to them, or upload hacking software from them, all undetected by the system administrator.
However, system administrators can also upload anti-virus software to an infected computer from a thumb drive, for instance, without risking the system servers. Their write speeds and read speeds only really come into play when users are running large applications from them. When the user is saving text documents or photos, for instance, these speeds are not nearly as important. Most thumb drives also have millions of re-write cycles and will store data for ten years before they need replacing.
The thumb drive is available in storage sizes of up to 8 gigabytes. Most people, however, will find that sizes of 256 megabytes to 512 MB will do nicely. If the person is storing mostly text, with few images, then an even smaller thumb drive may meet the need.
A thumb drive is available anywhere computer supplies are sold. They range in price from about US$15 to $200 or so for a large-capacity drive. They are stable, versatile, durable and portable data storage devices. As such they are ideal for almost any computer user who wants safe, long-term storage for a low price.

Today i want to share an article about sex education.
Sex education is a broad term-used to describe education about human sexual anatomy, sexual reproduction, sexual intercourse, reproductive health, emotional relations, reproductive rights and responsibility, contraception and other aspect of human sexual behavior.
Sex education may taught informally, such as when someone receive information from conversation with parent, friend, religious leader, or through the media. It may also be delivered through sex self-help authors, magazine advice columnists, sex columnists, or through sex education websites. Formal sex education occurs when schools or health care providers offer sex education. Sometimes formal sex education is taught as full course as part of the curriculum in junior high school or high school. Others times is only one unit within a more brand health class, home economics class or physical education class.

I would like to share a poem with all my friend here.
The Dead Crow

He saw a dead crow
in a drain
near the post office.

He saw an old
man gasping for air
and a baby barely able to breathe
in a crowded morning clinic.

This land is so rich.
Why should we suffer like this?

I want the clean air
for my grandchildren.

I want the dammed fools
to leave the forest alone.

I want the trees to grow,
the rivers run free,
and the earth covered with grass.

Let the politicians plan how we may live with dignity,
now and always.

From this poem we can learn that
i. create and sustain characters in an improvised scene. ii. create and sustain dialogue as their character relating to other characters iii. explore through drama solutions to a real problem

We also can learn moral values from this poem which is appreciating the balance of nature and being thankful to God for His creation

Easy Ways to Catch More ZZZs..

If you've had one or two bad nights lately, you can probably solve the problem by taking some of the measures below. These strategies may require you to change your sleeping habits, but the effort is well worth it in the long run.

1. Make your bedroom a haven for sleep. Your room should be quiet and sufficiently dark, because darkness prompts the pineal gland to produce melatonin, the hormone that regulates circadian rhythms (your 24-hour body clock). Heavy drapes can help keep the light out, and a fan or white-noise machine can help drown out any annoying sounds. Cool temperatures help you sleep, so set your thermostat appropriately. For better air circulation, open a window or use a fan. If the air in the room is too dry, buy a humidifier.

2. Become a creature of habit. A nighttime routine can be very effective in letting your body know when it's time to sleep. Go through whatever rituals help you get mentally prepared for sleep. (Read a few pages of your novel, spend 5 to 10 minutes on personal grooming, meditate, stretch.) It's also critical to go to bed and get up at the same time every day -- even on weekends.

3. Reserve your bed just for sleeping and sex. Avoid working, paying bills, reading, or watching television in bed. If you associate your bed only with sleep, you'll be more likely to fall asleep when you get under the covers for the night.

4. Tame your tummy. Going to bed either hungry or too full can disrupt your sleep. Don't have a big meal too close to bedtime or the digestion process might keep you awake. Also, if you lie down after stuffing yourself you can end up with gastric reflux -- stomach acid backing up into the esophagus. If you're hungry, have a snack rich in carbohydrates, which trigger the release of the brain chemical serotonin, associated with relaxation. Try a graham cracker or bowl of cereal. Pair it with some milk or a slice of turkey, both rich in the amino acid tryptophan, which also induces sleep.

5. Watch the caffeine. Too much caffeine throughout the day, even if it's not consumed right before bedtime, can contribute to fitful slumber. Once you hit 50, your metabolism slows, so caffeine may stay in your system longer -- up to 10 hours. Limit yourself to two cups of tea, coffee, or cola, taken at least 6 hours before bedtime. If that doesn't work, try cutting out caffeine altogether.

6. Tap the exercise answer. It's a simple fact: If you're physically tired at the end of the day, you'll sleep better. In a study from Stanford University School of Medicine, a group of 50- to 76-year-olds who had complained of sleep problems began moderate exercise for about half an hour four times a week. Compared with a similar group of people who didn't exercise, the more active group slept an average of one hour more each night, took less time to fall asleep, spent less time napping, and reported an overall improvement in sleep quality. Outdoor exercise is especially helpful. By exposing yourself to sunlight (particularly in the afternoon), you help prevent midday sleepiness and reinforce your body's circadian rhythms. Exercise at least three hours before bedtime.

7. Soak it up. Take a warm bath an hour or two before bed. Your body temperature will slowly drop after you get out of the tub, making you feel tired. Don't bathe right before bed, however, because it can briefly stimulate you enough to make it hard to fall asleep.

8. Drift off naturally. Investigate the benefits of chamomile, valerian, kava, passionflower, skullcap, catnip, or hops. These herbs can be taken in tea and other forms. A cup of chamomile tea before bedtime may be all you need to relax. If you're trying valerian, the suggested dose for the concentrated form is equal to two to three grams of the root a day. But don't combine valerian with alcohol or mood-regulating drugs. If you're using kava, try a dose of between 60 and 120 mg before bedtime.

9. Don't toss and turn. If 30 minutes go by and you haven't fallen asleep, don't lie in bed feeling frustrated. Get up and do something relaxing, like listening to soothing music or flipping through a magazine. Or make yourself a cup of warm milk.

10. Buy the right bed. A bed that's too soft can cause poor sleep postures (which can also lead to muscle stiffness and back problems). If you're leaving a divot in the mattress when you get up, it's too soft. Replace your mattress if it's more than 10 years old, and buy one that's as firm as you can tolerate but still comfortable.

Hope you will get the best sleep !!!

A Disease That’s Difficult to Cure(TIBI)

Today i would like to share something important that also related to me that is TIBI.In other words is 'tuberculosis'.Scary right??But don't worry,i already have it since 4 moths ago.To be honest its totally hurt and hard for me at the first time i had been informed about this by my doctor but day after day i become more believe and not too scared.

This disease caused by bacteria that are resistant to nearly all the antibiotics normally used for TB.From 1993 to 2006, 49 cases of XDR TB were reported in the United States, the disease agency says. Other countries have many more cases. South Africa has had 600 new cases a year or more, and at least 28 other countries have also had cases, mostly from China, India and Russia.

Medical experts theorize that XDR developed from more common TB forms that became drug resistant because antibiotics were improperly used. The incorrect use occurs because even relatively ordinary TB is hard to treat, requiring taking several drugs for six months or more, even after symptoms disappear.

The drugs can have side effects like nausea that make people want to quit as soon as possible. But failing to finish the whole course is a recipe for breeding drug-resistant bacteria.

Healthy people can often fight off TB. Even among people who have close contact with a patient, 20 percent become infected. Of those, 5 percent to 10 percent develop active cases. In the rest, the immune system fights the bacteria, and the infection becomes dormant.

TB spreads when the bacteria become airborne, which can occur when someone with an active case coughs or sneezes or even speaks or sings. The bacteria can float in the air for hours, and people who inhale them can become infected.

Contrary to what many people think, according to the disease centers, TB is not spread by kissing or sharing toothbrushes or food or drink.

So now. i still have tibi and become the patient's tibi.I hope with all the medicine i ate,i will be a normal person back.Hope you guys will pray for my healthy. Thanks for reading my article.Hope you'll like it.

Another article i read is about World Trade Center.
The World Trade Center in New York City, United States (sometimes informally the WTC or Twin Towers) was a complex of seven buildings in Lower Manhattan that were attacked by terrorists on September 11, 2001. It was mostly designed by Detroit-based architect Minoru Yamasaki and engineer Leslie Robertson and developed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. It was initiated in 1960 by a Lower Manhattan Association created and chaired by David Rockefeller, who had the original idea of building the center, with strong backing from the then-New York governor, his brother Nelson Rockefeller. The World Trade Center, New York, like most World Trade Centers located around the globe, belonged to the family of World Trade Centers Association. Prior to its destruction, Larry Silverstein held the most recent lease to the complex, the Port Authority having leased it to him in July 2001.The complex, located in the heart of New York City's downtown financial district, contained 13.4 million square feet (1.24 million m²) of office space, almost four percent of Manhattan's entire office inventory at that time.

Best known for its iconic 110-story twin towers (101 usable floors, eight engineering-only "service" floors on top of a lobby which was six stories high and 80') the World Trade Center was beset by a fire on February 13, 1975 and a bombing on February 26, 1993.

All seven original buildings in the complex were destroyed during the September 11 attacks. Three of the buildings collapsed: One World Trade Center (1 WTC, the North Tower), Two World Trade Center (2 WTC, the South Tower), and 7 World Trade Center (7 WTC). The Marriott World Trade Center (3 WTC) was crushed by the collapses of 1 WTC and 2 WTC. 4 World Trade Center (4 WTC), 5 World Trade Center (5 WTC), and 6 World Trade Center (6 WTC) were damaged beyond repair and later demolished. Three buildings not part of the complex were also destroyed: St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church was destroyed by the collapse of 2 WTC. The Deutsche Bank Building was damaged beyond repair by the explosions and collapse of 1 and 2 WTC; and Borough of Manhattan Community College's Fiterman Hall was damaged beyond repair by the collapse of 7 WTC; these are currently being deconstructed.

Now all the world are fighting again terrorists activities.I feel so sad to see they killing each and sacrifice so many life to achieve the target which is clear all terrorists in the world.

I was searching for the pictures of the Five Olympic Rings and found out that the meaning of them are as below

Fuwa embody the natural characteristics of four of China's most popular animals -- the Fish, the Panda, the Tibetan Antelope, the Swallow -- and the Olympic Flame.

Each of Fuwa has a rhyming two-syllable name -- a traditional way of expressing affection for children in China. Beibei is the Fish, Jingjing is the Panda, Huanhuan is the Olympic Flame, Yingying is the Tibetan Antelope and Nini is the Swallow.

When you put their names together -- Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni -- they say "Welcome to Beijing," offering a warm invitation that reflects the mission of Fuwa as young ambassadors for the Olympic Games.

In China's traditional culture and art, the fish and water designs are symbols of prosperity and harvest. And so Beibei carries the blessing of prosperity. A fish is also a symbol of surplus in Chinese culture, another measure of a good year and a good life.
The ornamental lines of the water-wave designs are taken from well-known Chinese paintings of the past. Among Fuwa, Beibei is known to be gentle and pure. Strong in water sports, she reflects the blue Olympic ring.

Jingjing makes children smile -- and that's why he brings the blessing of happiness wherever he goes. You can see his joy in the charming naivety of his dancing pose and the lovely wave of his black and white fur. As a national treasure and a protected species, pandas are adored by people everywhere. The lotus designs in Jingjing's headdress, which are inspired by the porcelain paintings of the Song Dynasty (A.D.960-1234), symbolize the lush forest and the harmonious relationship between man and nature. Jingjing was chosen to represent our desire to protect nature's gifts -- and to preserve the beauty of nature for all generations. Jingjing is charmingly naïve and optimistic. He is an athlete noted for strength who represents the black Olympic ring.

In the intimate circle of Fuwa, Huanhuan is the big brother. He is a child of fire, symbolizing the Olympic Flame and the passion of sport -- and passion is the blessing he bestows. Huanhuan stands in the center of Fuwa as the core embodiment of the Olympic spirit. And while he inspires all with the passion to run faster, jump higher and be stronger, he is also open and inviting. Wherever the light of Huanhuan shines, the inviting warmth of Beijing 2008 -- and the wishful blessings of the Chinese people -- can be felt. The fiery designs of his head ornament are drawn from the famed Dunhuang murals -- with just a touch of China's traditional lucky designs. Huanhuan is outgoing and enthusiastic. He excels at all the ball games and represents the red Olympic ring.

Like all antelopes, Yingying is fast and agile and can swiftly cover great stretches of land as he races across the earth. A symbol of the vastness of China's landscape, the antelope carries the blessing of health, the strength of body that comes from harmony with nature. Yingying's flying pose captures the essence of a species unique to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, one of the first animals put under protection in China. The selection of the Tibetan Antelope reflects Beijing's commitment to a Green Olympics. His head ornament incorporates several decorative styles from the Qinghai-Tibet and Sinkiang cultures and the ethnic design traditions of Western China. Strong in track and field events, Yingying is a quick-witted and agile boy who represents the yellow Olympic ring.

Among the kite designs, the golden-winged swallow is traditionally one of the most popular. Nini's figure is drawn from this grand tradition of flying designs. Her golden wings symbolize the infinite sky and spread good-luck as a blessing wherever she flies. Swallow is also pronounced "yan" in Chinese, and Yanjing is what Beijing was called as an ancient capital city. Among Fuwa, Nini is as innocent and joyful as a swallow. She is strong in gymnastics and represents the green Olympic ring.

The Rumors About Tampons

Claims that asbestos containing tampons cause excessive bleeding, and increase the manufacturer's profit.
Worry about the rayon used in tampons.
Fear that cancer-causing dioxin is an ingredient in tampons that may also cause endometriosis.
Skepticism about the bleaching process that whitens the raw ingredients used to make tampons.
Assertions that rayon fibers cause toxic shock syndrome (TSS), and vaginal dryness or ulcerations.

The answer is

The FDA's Center for Devices and Radiological Health regulates the safety and efficacy of medical devices--including tampons. In a report, the FDA strongly disputes these claims:
"Asbestos is not, and never has been associated with the fibers used in making tampons." Plants that manufacture tampons are subject to inspection to ensure that required manufacturing standards are being met.
Tampons sold in the US may contain cotton, rayon, or blends of cotton and rayon. A bleaching process is required to purify wood pulp and retrieve the cellulose fibers which make rayon.
"Cellulose used in US tampons is now produced using elemental chlorine-free bleaching." Many of the claims of dioxin-related risks are based on elemental chlorine bleaching which uses a process that can lead to a dioxin byproduct. According to the FDA report, no US manufacturer uses this process.
Major US tampon manufacturer's tested their products for dioxin levels using an analytical method provided by the FDA. The results showed that dioxin levels ranged from non-dectable to one 1 part in 3 trillion. "FDA has determined that dioxin at this extremely low level does not pose a health risk."
Toxic shock syndrome is rare, in fact, only 5 menstrually-related cases reported were reported in 1997. Scientists agree that there is a connection between tampon use and TSS, however, they remain unsure of the exact connection.
High absorbency tampons may be associated with an increased risk of TSS. Vaginal dryness and ulcerations can occur when women use a tampon that is too absorbent for their menstrual flow.
Choosing the proper tampon absorbency may help reduce the risk of TSS, and vaginal discomforts. Tampon sizes are standardized across brands, in the US, by a method that labels all tampon products as regular, super, supper plus, or junior to describe the range of tampon absorbency.

The FDA requires all tampon manufacturers to provide packaging information on all tampons sold in the US that describes the symptoms of TSS and how to reduce your risk. Read the inserts in the tampon product you use and discuss any symptoms or concerns with your health care provider.

Ying Shing(CA08141)http://www.cdc.gov/ncipc/dvp/YVP/school_violence.htm

School Violence

In the United States, an estimated 55 million students are enrolled in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Another 15 million students attend colleges and universities across the country. While U.S. schools remain relatively safe, any amount of violence is unacceptable. Parents, teachers, and administrators expect schools to be safe havens of learning. Acts of violence can disrupt the learning process and have a negative effect on students, the school itself, and the broader community.

School violence is a subset of youth violence, a broader public health problem. Youth violence refers to harmful behaviors that may start early and continue into young adulthood. It includes bullying, slapping, punching, weapon use, and rape. Victims can suffer serious injury, significant social and emotional damage, or even death. The young person can be a victim, an offender, or a witness to the violence-or a combination of these

I Think of my mother today and decided to find poem about mother and i was touched by this poem....

Why are you crying, a young boy asked his Mom?

"Because I'm a woman," she told him.

"I don't understand," he said.

His Mom just hugged him and said,
"And you never will, but that's O.K.".......

Later the little boy asked his father,
"Why does Mom seem to cry for no reason?".
"All women cry for no reason," was all his Dad could say......

The little boy grew up and became a man,
still wondering why women cry.

Finally he put in a call to God and when God got back to him, he asked "God, why do women cry so easily?"

GOD answered......

"When I made woman,
I decided she had to be special.
I made her shoulders
strong enough to carry
the weight of the world, yet,
made her arms gentle enough to give comfort...

I gave her the inner strength
to endure childbirth
and the rejection
that many times will come
even from her own children.

I gave her a hardness
that allows her
to keep going and take care
of her family and friends,
even when everyone else gives up, through sickness and fatigue without
complaining....

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all
circumstances. Even when her child has hurt her badly....

She has the very special power to make a child's boo-boo feel better and
to quell a teenager's anxieties and fears....

I gave her strength to care for her husband, despite faults
and I fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart....

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but
sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him
unfalteringly....

For all of this hard work,
I also gave her a tear to shed.
It is hers to use
whenever needed and !
it is her only weakness....
When you see her cry,
tell her how much you love her, and all she does for everyone, and even though
she may still cry, you will have made her heart feel good.

She is special!
Please send this to women you know, and those with mothers,
sisters, and special women in their lives.

But, also send this to men so they will understand about what a
wonderful thing a woman is.
Each day is a mountain that must be climbed; with courage each step
gets easier.

Love your Mother Always

and keep her Smiling

I have read this novel last year but the plot is stil fresh in my mind...some of sypnopsis of this book is as below..

The task had taken shape thanks to the end of a war and the inconvenient way secrets had of bubbling to the surface. It went without saying that it was going to be difficult. But then murder always was...

London, 1817: Beneath a silent moon, a stranger steals into London, bound to complete a grim task that began in the shadows of the past....

On that same evening, amid the splendor of Glenister House, London's haut ton celebrates, still flush with victory in the Napoleonic Wars. Among the revelers are Mélanie and Charles Fraser—he, a former spy connected to the most powerful families in Britain, and she his exquisite bride, who has charmed all of society.

That night, stunning revelations pull the couple back into the world of intrigue they thought they'd escaped, forcing them to untangle a web of lies that spans generations and threatens the fate of nations. But the truth is a deadly weapon that could lead to scandal, tragedy, and murder.

An assassination, a secret society, and the dangerous liaisons of Charles's own family lead the Frasers from the lamplit streets of the city to a castle on the Scottish coast. The stakes of this game are the lives of those Charles holds most dear, and the trust of the enigmatic woman with whom he shares his name...and his bed.

Beneath THE SILENT MOON is a that contains some romance elements, but the exhilarating story line focuses on the intrigue. The return of the Frasers in a prequel (see DAUGHTER OF THE GAME) will delight readers as the couple retains their mystery and charm though more doubts about their relationship exists this time then in last year's novel. Tracy Grant provides richly textured historical intrigue that brings to life London just after the Napoleonic Wars.I hope that u guys buy this book and read it..

I have learn yoga the past 6month after my stpm and found it is very good...so some of the benefit of yoga are as below..

Physical Benefits
Flexibility: Stretching your tight body in new ways will help it to become more flexible, bringing greater range of motion to muscles and joints. Over time, you can expect to gain flexibility in your hamstrings, back, shoulders, and hips.

Strength: Many yoga poses require you to support the weight of your own body in new ways, including balancing on one leg (such as in Tree Pose) or supporting yourself with your arms (such as in Downward Facing Dog). Some exercises require you to move slowly in and out of poses, which also increases strength.

Muscle tone: As a by-product of getting stronger, you can expect to see increased muscle tone. Yoga helps shape long, lean muscles.

Pain Prevention: Increased flexibility and strength can help prevent the causes of some types of back pain. Many people who suffer from back pain spend a lot of time sitting at a computer or driving a car. That can cause tightness and spinal compression, which you can begin to address with yoga. Yoga also improves your alignment, both in and out of class, which helps prevent many other types of pain.

Better Breathing: Most of us breathe very shallowly into the lungs and don't give much thought to how we breathe. Yoga breathing exercises, called Pranayama, focus the attention on the breath and teach us how to better use our lungs, which benefits the entire body. Certain types of breath can also help clear the nasal passages and even calm the central nervous system, which has both physical and mental benefits.

Mental Benefits
Mental Calmness: Yoga asana practice is intensely physical. Concentrating so intently on what your body is doing has the effect of bringing a calmness to the mind. Yoga also introduces you to meditation techniques, such as watching how you breathe and disengagement from your thoughts, which help calm the mind.

Stress Reduction: Physical activity is good for relieving stress, and this is particularly true of yoga. Because of the concentration required, your daily troubles, both large and small, seem to melt away during the time you are doing yoga. This provides a much-needed break from your stressors, as well as helping put things into perspective. The emphasis yoga places on being in the moment can also help relieve stress, as you learn not to dwell on past events or anticipate the future. You will leave a yoga class feeling less stressed than when you started. Read more about yoga for stress management here.

Body Awareness: Doing yoga will give you an increased awareness of your own body. You are often called upon to make small, subtle movements to improve your alignment. Over time, this will increase your level of comfort in your own body. This can lead to improved posture and greater self-confidence.

i strongly suggest to do ur yoga from now on..u can find more information yoga on this link...

I just have the interest to know the most expensive hotels in the world..wow..an unbelievable amount of money to spent a night in these hotels..presenting those hotels in the list belows..

NO1...
BAHAMAS
The Atlantis
Atlantis Bridge Suite
$25,000 per night
The Atlantis Bridge Suite has the distinction of being the most expensive hotel suite in the world---it's $25,000 a night. So what do you get for that kind of money? For starters, location, location, location. The Bridge Suite is located on top of a bridge that connects the two Royal Towers buildings, so it overlooks the entire resort
and marina.

The ten-room suite is decorated in red, black and gold (lots of gold) and comes with its own butler, bar lounge and entertainment center as well as 12-foot ceilings. The master bedroom has a sitting area, his-and-hers closets, and hand-painted linens. The bathrooms have chaise lounges, marble baths, and dolphin fixtures. For those who are picky about their personal space, there are two separate master bathrooms. The kitchen also has its own entrance so the butler or cook neverbothers you.

NO2..
Geneva
President Wilson Hotel
The Imperial Suite
$23,000 per night
At the sleek, modern President Wilson Hotel in Geneva, security takes as much precedence as luxury. Faster than you can say "Frette linens," the hotel's staff reassures guests that the security in the Imperial Suite is among the best in the world, ideal for celebrities or traveling heads of states who visit the United Nations headquarters next door at the Palais Wilson. (Considering how tight-lipped the hotel management was about the suite, guests can be assured of total secrecy.)

The Imperial Suite, which takes up the entire top floor of the hotel, is reached via a private elevator and has four bedrooms, all of which overlook Lake Geneva. The suite is decorated in a contemporary style, with marble and hardwood floors, and the bay windows overlook Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc. Off of the master bedroom is a dressing room as well as a study, and the suite has five bathrooms, all with mosaic marble floor, and a Jacuzzi and steam bath in the main bath. The living room has a billiards table, a library and a cocktail lounge with a view of the water fountain, and can accommodate 40 people. The dining room seats 26 people around an oval mahogany table. For the security-conscious or merely the paranoid, the Imperial Suite is also equipped with bulletproof windows and doors. The price of the hotel is 40,000 Swiss francs (approximately $23,600).

No3...
Cannes
The Martinez Hotel
Presidential Suite
$18,000 per night
The Martinez Hotel in Cannes likes superlatives and bills itself as having the biggest, most expensive and only terraced penthouse suite on the Cote d'Azur. Perhaps some of this is Gallic swagger, but the price of the suites--$18,000--certainly makes them one of the most expensive in Europe. Both penthouse suites are 8,000 square feet and are decorated in the hotel's signature Art Deco style, with streamlined furniture, silk curtains and teak parquet floors.
While many of the hotel's rooms are painted in bright colors (peach, lime green), the penthouse suites are decorated in muted, understated tones (brown, cream and tan). Each suite has two bedrooms, a Turkish bath, kitchen, personal sauna and views of the Lerins Islands as well as the entire Bay of Cannes. The wraparound terrace is 2,000 square feet and can comfortably hold 100 people. It also has a Jacuzzi. Technophiles will appreciate the Bose plasma screen televisions and telephones and the DVD library. A private butler is on call 24 hours a day, and other amenities include use of a limousine, open bar and the option to join both suites into one très grand apartment.

The overarching attitude for the suite is "never say no to anything," which we hope is the case when you're paying $18,000. One Saudi sheik liked the suite so much he wanted to rent it for five years.

and so on..

I had read the article about Bacteria

Bacteria are microscopic organisms whose single cells have neither a membrane-bounded nucleus nor other membrane-bounded organelles like mitochondria and chloroplasts. Another group of microbes, the archaea, meet these criteria but are so different from the bacteria in other ways that they must have had a long, independent evolutionary history since close to the dawn of life.

Bacteria are all around us. Given good growing conditions, a bacterium grows slightly in size or length, a new cell wall grows through the center forming two daughter cells, each with the same genetic material as the parent cell. If the environment is optimum, the two daughter cells may divide into four in 20 minutes.

The primary reason may be that conditions are rarely optimum. Scientists who study bacteria try to create the optimum environment in the lab: culture medium with the necessary energy source, nutrients, pH, and temperature, in which bacteria grow predictably.

I suddenly have this feeling of finding wedding article after attending my cousin wedding this saturday..so here some info about chinese wedding..

Preparing for the Wedding Day

Retreating to the Cock Loft

In preparation for her impending departure, the bride-to-be retreated from the ordinary routine and lived in seclusion in a separate part of the house with her closest friends. During this period, the young women sang laments, mourning the bride’s separation from her family and cursing the go-between –; as well as the groom’s family and even the girl’s own parents. Since this extended ‘sleep over’ often took place in the cock loft, the bride’s emergence on her wedding day was sometimes referred to as "coming out of the cock loft."

Installing the Bridal Bed

Preparation on the part of the groom involved the installation of the bridal bedon the day before the wedding. A propitious hour and a ‘good luck woman’ or ‘good luck man’, that is a man or women with many children and living mates, were selected to install a newly purchased bed. (The installation ceremony consisted of merely moving the bed slightly; the actual work was done by servants or friends.)

After the bed was in place, children were invited onto the bed as an omen of fertility –; the more, the merrier. For the same reason, the bed was scattered with red dates, oranges, lotus seeds, peanuts, pomegranates and other fruits. Part of the fun was watching the children scramble for the fruit.

Day of the Wedding

The "Hair Dressing" Ritual of the bride and the "Capping" Ritual of the groom symbolized their initiation into adulthood and were important parts of the wedding preparations. Red, symbolic of joy, featured prominently in the clothing and other ritual objects pertaining to the wedding.

The "Hair Dressing" Ritual

At dawn on her wedding day (or the night before), the bride bathed in water infused with pumelo, a variety of grapefruit, to cleanse her of evil influences –; and one suspects as a cosmetic to soften her skin in the manner of contemporary alphahydroxls. She put on new underclothes and sat before lit dragon-and-phoenix candles.

A ‘good luck woman’ attended the bridal preparations. She spoke auspicious words while dressing the bride’s hair in the style of a married woman.

After her hair was styled, the bride emerged from her retreat. She was carried to the main hall on the back of the ‘good luck’ woman or her most senior sister-in-law. There she donned a jacket and skirt and stepped into a pair of red shoes, placed in the center of a sieve. The bride’s face was covered with either a red silk veil or a ‘curtain’ of tassels or beads that hung from the bridal Phoenix crown. (The photo below was taken at the mock wedding at a prior year’s Chinese Summer Festival. After completing her wedding preparations, the bride bowed to her parents and to the ancestral tablets and awaited the arrival of the bridal procession from the groom’s house.

The "Capping" Ritual

Dressed in a long gown, red shoes and a red silk sash with a silk ball on his shoulder, the groom knelt at the family altar while his father placed a cap decorated with cypress leaves on his head.

The groom bowed first before the tablets of Heaven and Earth and his ancestors, then to his parents and the assembled family members. His father removed the silk ball from the sash and placed it on top of the bridal sedan chair.

5 Essential Weight Loss Foods

Diets are very hard, as is the feeling of being overweight. Many of these fad diets may promise instant and significant weight loss results, but most of them rely on depriving your body of certain nutrients and disrupting the natural function of your body's metabolism. Chinese medicine considers obesity to be partly the result of declining function of the metabolic fire of the kidney network and a diet that provides a well-balanced array of nutrients is the key to losing weight in a healthy way. What follows are five foods that will help you restore your body's ability to use energy and help you become your healthy weight.
1. Millet: A well-balanced diet should consist of whole grains instead of refined grains like white rice and pasta, and millet is a beneficial and delicious staple of this category of food. This non-glutinous grain is over 10-percent protein, has high amounts of fiber and B-complex vitamins, and because it isn't an acid forming food, is easy to digest.
2. Asparagus: Asparagus is a nutrient-rich vegetable packed with folate, vitamins A, C, and K, and fiber. Asparagus also contains a carbohydrate known as inulin (not to be confused with insulin) that promotes healthy bacteria in the large intestine - which in turn promotes a healthier digestive function.
3. Pomegranates: Pomegranates are a wonderful example of a healthy, nutritious fruit that has antioxidant properties and will help prevent cancer. While the benefits of drinking pomegranate juice have gained a lot of attention recently, you will be more likely to lose weight by eating the fruit fresh to increase your fiber intake and keep the calories down.
4. Pine Nuts: Chinese medicine uses pine nuts to improve gastrointestinal tract and digestive functions, and pine nut oil is even used for appetite suppression. Pine nuts and other nuts are a tasty part of a well-balanced diet intended for weight loss.
5. Green Tea: Green tea is a wonderful alternative to coffee in that it does provide a little caffeine but also contains beneficial antioxidants. So drink up!
Eat five smaller meals a day, avoid processed foods, chew more slowly, and incorporate more healthy foods into your diet-starting with these five and the Tao of Wellness B-Slim dietary supplement, which will help you lose weight naturally.
So that mean if we want to diet, we need to have a correct way to do that. We cannot just depend on the marketing products that say you will lose how many weight in a short time. We need to have a balance diet meal for us to lose our weight. We need to take enough nutrition of food because that is the correct way to diet too. So I hope all of you will choose the correct way to lose the weight.

Life is just a mirror, and what you see out there, you must see inside of you.
From: Wallay ‘Famous’ Amos (1936)

Actually life is really just a mirror because every seem to be acting in the real world. They do not want to show them real personality to other so rather than acting. The mirror will just reflect the best thing of humanity and won’t reflect the bad side of human look. The mirror surface is smooth and every thing seems to be good but maybe actually inside that is rotten already. The human heart won’t simply show off, we do not know whether someone heart is in good condition or already rotten in the early of life. So we cannot just judge a people according to their outlook. Some people look like ugly or normal but actually inside their heart, they are very nice people. Maybe they are helpful. Always lend a hand to people. They will do what they can do and what they can contribute. Reversely got some people look very beauty and nice look but actually they all are rotten inside. They will just act like very kind to other people that needed help in front of the person they like or interest so that the person their like have good impression to them. This kind of people is the worst because they didn’t threat other indeed from heart but just act for someone see. So whatever we do, we need to look into ourselves so that we won’t make big mistake like acting in front of people. We need to face other by our real characteristic and personality so that we will remember by other forever not because we are acting but are we are very best friend. So here, I advise you all must see inside of you all so that you won’t just acting in front of people.

Do you know if you done the seven dangerous after each meal it might cause death?
What is mean by the seven dangerous? Actually it is about what not we should do after we have a meal. So this is actually related to our daily meal.
So don’t act the seven actions below after you have a meal:
∑ Do not smoke - this is because experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking ten cigarettes ( chances of cancer is higher ).
∑ Do not eat fruits immediately – Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit one to two hour after meal or one hour before meal.
∑ Do not drink tea – Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.
∑ Do not loosen your belt – Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted and blocked.
∑ Do not bathe – Bathing after meal will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs and body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.
∑ Do not walk about – People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till ninety nine. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.
∑ Do not sleep immediately – The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric and infection in our intestine.
I was shocked after I read this article because many of the above action I have done it everyday like eat fruits immediately and walk about after my meal. Sometimes I even go sleep after my meal. I thought walking around and eating fruit will just help my digestion and bring benefits to my body. I never think that this action will harm my body. But now after reading this article all those actions is actually bring hazard to our body. So now I change my all this bad habits. I will inform all my family and friend about this seven dangerous. I will continue to spread this seven dangerous around hope more people will know about this.

You get the chicken by hatching the egg, not by smashing it.

When we are doing some thing, we need patient about it so that we can feel the success afterward. We cannot too rush when doing our work. Because it will spoilt our effort if we are too rush until we cannot differentiate between the right and wrong. Just like the message, we won't get the chicken if we smash it because the egg is already broken. If we want to get the chicken, we need to hatch the egg. This teaches us that when we doing our work, we need to do it in step by step so that we won't miss the important part. So, I will try to do my work step by step.

Water: The Drink for Long Life

Water is vital for good health and a long life. Although we can live for days without food, our survival depends on drinking water. Each and every cell needs water to perform its essential functions.
Benefits of a good “drinking habit”:
1. Stay hydrated – On these hot summer days, our body needs to replenish itself with water more than ever. When we become dehydrated, we do not have enough water in our body to carry out normal functions.
2. Regulate body temperature – For work-out fans, drinking water reduces cardiovascular stress and improves performance. And water reduces body temperature, making the exercise process safer and more effective.
3. Skin health – Water hydrates and irrigates impurities from the skin, keeping it healthy and glowing.
4. Nutrient absorption – Water transports essential nutrients, minerals, vitamins, proteins, and sugars for assimilation.
5. Acids in weight loss – If we have not been drinking enough water, our body have developed a pattern of storing water-which equals extra unwanted pounds. Drink more water to teach our body that it no longer needs to store water. Water is also a natural appetite suppressant.
6. Flushes wastes and toxins – Water helps us flush our system of the chemicals and toxins that we encounter every day in our modern world: car exhaust, dyed clothing, synthetic, formaldehyde-packed carpets-when we add up the toxins, it becomes dizzying! Our body will process and eliminate some of these hordes of chemicals that enter it. Without enough fluids to flush out our system, these accumulated toxins in our body will slow down our organ function, causing premature aging and resulting in chronic illness.

We should be drinking at least 60 ounces of water- about 8 glasses-a day.
One good way to develop a good water-drinking is one glass of water after wake up then before and after half and hour each meal one glass of water and lastly half and hour before sleep one glass of water. By this way we will drink 8 glasses of water a day.

So we really need to bring out the habit of drinking water for our healthy. Do what we need to do so that our healthy in the good condition.

The first step to getting the things you want out of life is this: Decide what you want.
From: Ben Stein

Do you all what does this mean? Did you all think about what you all want to get before you are doing some things. It is very important to decide what we want before we doing our work. Because this step can let us to be success or failure in our work. If we did not decide what we want, we might not get the starting point or even the ending point. Like that we just doing useless thing because the probability for us to get failure is very high. Because we do not know what we want and what can we do. After we have decided what we want, we can do a lot of things and we also can plan a lot of things to do to let our work success. After we know what we want to get, we will put more effort on it so that we really can get what we want. The decision also can be our motivation to make us move forward and make sure us won’t stuck at the same place. For me, I will decide what I want to get before I moved on my work. Because this make me feel confident inside myself. Here I want to remind you all and myself that we need to decide what we want as the first step when we are going to getting the things we want out of life.

1. Smile - Just sit there and smile. Like a fool, yes, but a relaxed fool. We smile when we are happy, but we can cheat our psyches by smiling first and becoming lighter next. So smile.
2. Drink more water - Maybe it's a soothing, flowing activity; maybe the water actually does something to the digestion or something.
3. Breathe deep - When breathing in, imagine peace coming in and filling your being, and making you as light as a balloon, colour of your choice, but ideally no red. Green or blue maybe. When exhaling, or breathing out, imagine stress and problems leaving you.
4. Beauty treatment 1 - There's something soothing about letting somebody fiddle about with your hair and face.
5. Beauty treatment 2 - Look at beautiful things. Sceneries, children, cute animals, sexy people. Visit hubs that are beautiful. Change your desktop image into a beautiful picture.
6. Sharpen a pencil - There are many such rhythmic activities which relax you fast. Rhythm soothes the stressed out beast.
7. Water treatment - Take a bath or swim or dance in the rain or stand under a waterfall.
8. Meditate - Sit still, breathe rhythmic, think beautiful thoughts. No, drowning your neighbour in clear soup is not beautiful! Love your neighbour. Think beauty, love, peace...
9. Laugh - Laugh out loud, and the world will think you're crazy. Let them! It will relax them too! That's social service you're doing! Read jokes on the web, or wherever.
10. Play - Playing with a child or a pet. Have you noticed that children don't suffer from much stress till they are introduced to adult things like grades and stuff?

Actually there are still many ways to make us relax like sing a song, jogging and so on.
You can also try the way that you think is suitable for you to relax. The most important is you can relax without caring what type of method. At least you are really relaxed with that. I hope these 10 ways are really useful for those who feel stress.

Ladies please read

Using the same pad for more than three hours can cause cervical cancer and bacterial infection. All of you won’t wonder what were the ingredients that made popular brands of pad so free and light and carefree? If yes, then let me tell you that the material that makes the pad so paper thin is cellulose gel. So it is not even cotton. Please do not wear same pad for more than three hours of a maximum. Because after this duration, the genital area is prone to bacterial action and may result in cervical cancer or other complications. No wonder so many women in the world suffer from cervical cancer and womb tumors. Have you heard that tampon makers include asbestos in tampons? Why would they do this? Because asbestos makes you bleed more, if you bleed more, you are going to need to use more. Why is not this against the law since asbestos is so dangerous? Because the power that be, in all their wisdom (not), did not consider tampons as being ingested, and, therefore, did not consider them illegal or dangerous. Tampons contain two things that are potentially harmful: Rayon (for absorbency), and dioxin (a chemical used in bleaching the products). The tampon industry is convinced that we, as women, need bleached white products in order to view the product as pure and clean. The problem here is that the dioxin, which is produced in this bleaching process. can lead to very harmful problems for a woman. Dioxin is potentially carcinogenic cancer-associated and is toxic to the immune and reproductive systems. It has also been linked to endometriosis and lower sperm counts for men. For both sexes, it breaks down the immune system.
Then what can we, as women, do because impossible for us not to use pad? The only method we can do is using feminine hygiene products that are not bleached and that are all cotton. And other feminine hygiene products (pads/napkins) contain dioxin as well, but they are not nearly as dangerous since they are not in direct contact with the vagina. The pads/napkins need to stop being bleached, but, obviously, tampons are the most dangerous.

Here, I want to let all of the women know that we can write to the companies: Tampax (Tambrands), Playtex, O.B., Kotex that we demand a safe product all cotton unbleached tampons. We, as women, need to take care our own life better so that we won’t easier get the disease suppose we won’t get so easy. Please alert to all the product of pads we use. Do not just simply buy some to use so that we won’t regret in the future.

Barcelona, Spain – New hope was extended to some of the world's most diverse and endangered forests today as WWF, four Indonesian ministers and ten provincial governors announced a bold commitment to protect the remaining forests and critical ecosystems of Sumatra.

The agreement, announced to wide acclaim today at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Barcelona, Spain, Indonesian government and WWF today , is the first-ever comprehensive commitment to protect the world's sixth largest island and one of its major environmental hotspots.

Sumatra is the only place on earth where tigers, elephants, orangutans and rhinos co-exist, but all are under threat as are the island's indigenous peoples. Deforestation and forest conversion for palm oil and acacia plantations in lowland deep peat forests is a major contributor to global carbon emissions.

“This agreement commits all the Governors of Sumatra’s ten provinces, along with the Indonesian Ministries of Forestry, Environment, Interior and Public Works, to restore critical ecosystems in Sumatraand protect areas with high conservation values,” said Hermien Roosita, Deputy Minister of Environment.

“The Governors will now work together to develop ecosystem-based spatial plans that will serve as the basis for future development on the island.”

WWF, CI, FFI, WCS, and other conservation groups working in Sumatrahave agreed to help implement the political commitment to protect what remains of the island’s species-rich forests and critical areas.

“WWF is eager to help make this commitment a reality to protect the magnificent tropical forests across Sumatra. These forests shelter some of the world’s rarest species and provide livelihoods for millions of people," said Mubariq Ahmad, CEO of WWF-Indonesia.

The island has lost 48 percent of its natural forest cover since 1985. More than 13 percent of Sumatra’s remaining forests are peat forests, sitting over the deepest peat soils in the world which degrade when cleared and drained to produce stupendous emissions of carbon.

“By protecting these forests from deforestation, Sumatra will provide a significant contribution to mitigate global climate change,” said Marlis Rahman, Vice Governor of West Sumatra Province.

“There are a lot of challenges in the future to ensure the successful implementation of the commitment,” said Noor Hidayat, Director of Conservation Areas at the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry. “A broad-based effort involving local and national government officials, financial institutions, NGOs, and communities needs to work together to make this commitment a reality."

“We are calling international communities to support us in implementing the commitment on the ground,” Rahman said.

The Sumatra announcement comes a day Indonesia announced substantial measures to achieve a zero net deforestation by 2020 commitment made at the UN Convention on Biological Diversity conference in Bonn in
May.

I wish that all the governments will follow them to save our global environment and its biodiversity.

Child Education Should Begins in the Home

Child education should begins in the home and it should continue in the home. Children are nurtured by their moms and dads from the beginning. Babies are cradled and talked to. As we interact with them they are learning. It is impossible for a baby to not be learning unless there is no interaction at all, which is so rare as to be non-existent.

Child education starts when the parents teach the kid to stand up instead of crawl, to walk, run, say "Mama", "Dada", how to hold a spoon, brush his/her own teeth, toilet training, reading, writing. Parents can undervalue their importance, children with less support at home do less well at school.

Child education also starts the moment a child where is born where is taken care still he start walking and running in his own feet after that it is take care by the school partly and most of the time it is in home where he recall all what he learnt in school and do his home work. They learn incredible amounts of information and skills during the first few years of their life. It continues on from there in whichever environment - home or classroom - is best suited to the needs of the student and the family.

Any child is expected to be able to walk and talk, feed themselves, have some knowledge of the world, all sorts, long before they reach school age. Education begins at the moment of birth, and if we are smart, continues our whole life. Many teachers would like parents to believe that once a child reaches some magical age between two and five, only "teachers" are qualified to teach children.

In my opinon, babies are like little sponges who are constantly learning from their environment. Child education begins from the time they born and continues until one dies.Children are nurtured by their moms and dads from the beginning.Hence, child education should begin at home.

Today i want to share an article about Rocket.
A rocket or rocket vehicle is a missile, aircraft or other vehicle which obtains thrust by the reaction of the rocket to the ejection of fast moving fluid from a rocket engine. Chemical rockets work by the action of hot gas produced by the combustion of the propellant against the inside of combustion chambers and expansion nozzles. This generates forces that accelerate the gas to extremely high speed and exert a large thrust on the rocket (since every action has an equal and opposite reaction).

The history of rockets goes back to at least the 13th century.By the 20th century, they have enabled human spaceflight to the Moon. In the 21st century, they have made commercial space tourism possible.

Rockets are used for fireworks and weaponry, as launch vehicles for artificial satellites, human spaceflight and exploration of other planets. While inefficient for low speed use, they are, compared to other propulsion systems, very lightweight and powerful, capable of attaining extremely high speeds with reasonable efficiency.

Chemical rockets store a large amount of energy in an easily-released form, and can be very dangerous. However, careful design, testing, construction, and use minimize the risks.

I feel sad to see that rocket used by military as a weapon. For example the rocket used in World War 2 had sacrifice so many life to achieve their own victory. The most sad thing is the nuclear bomb that used to force Japan to surrender, so many life have been sacrifice in that case.

A black hole is a theoretical region of space in which the gravitational field is so powerful that nothing, not even electromagnetic radiation (e.g. visible light), can escape its pull after having fallen past its event horizon. The term derives from the fact that the absorption of visible light renders the hole's interior invisible, and indistinguishable from the black space around it.

Despite its interior being invisible, a black hole may reveal its presence through an interaction with matter that lies in orbit outside its event horizon. For example, a black hole may be perceived by tracking the movement of a group of stars that orbit its center. Alternatively, one may observe gas (from a nearby star, for instance) that has been drawn into the black hole. The gas spirals inward, heating up to very high temperatures and emitting large amounts of radiation that can be detected from earthbound and earth-orbiting telescopes.Such observations have resulted in the general scientific consensus that—barring a breakdown in our understanding of nature—black holes do exist in our universe.

The idea of an object with gravity strong enough to prevent light from escaping was proposed in 1783 by John Michell,an amateur British astronomer. In 1795, Pierre-Simon Laplace, a French physicist independently came to the same conclusion.Black holes, as currently understood, are described by the general theory of relativity. This theory predicts that when a large enough amount of mass is present in a sufficiently small region of space, all paths through space are warped inwards towards the center of the volume, preventing all matter and radiation within it from escaping.

While general relativity describes a black hole as a region of empty space with a point-like singularity at the center and an event horizon at the outer edge, the description changes when the effects of quantum mechanics are taken into account. Research on this subject indicates that, rather than holding captured matter forever, black holes may slowly leak a form of thermal energy called Hawking radiation and may well have a finite life. However, the final, correct description of black holes, requiring a theory of quantum gravity, is unknown.

A spacecraft is a vehicle or machine designed for spaceflight. On a sub-orbital spaceflight, a spacecraft enters outer space but then returns to the planetary surface (such as Earth) without making a complete orbit. For an orbital spaceflight, a spacecraft enters a closed orbit around the planetary body. Spacecraft used for human spaceflights carry people on board as crew or passengers. Spacecraft used for robotic space missions operate either autonomously or telerobotically. Robotic spacecraft that leave the vicinity of the planetary body are space probes. Robotic spacecraft that remain in orbit around the planetary body are artificial satellites. Starships, which are built for interstellar travel, are so far a theoretical concept only.

Spacecraft are used for a variety of purposes, including communications, earth observation, meteorology, navigation, planetary exploration and space tourism. Spacecraft and space travel are common themes in works of science fiction.

I hope that after 100 years all man kind should be able to travel to space just same price with we travel by air plane.

Apple….

Fruit of several species of apple tree. There are several hundred varieties of cultivated apples, grown all over the world, which may be divided into eating, cooking, and cider apples. All are derived from the wild crab apple. (Genus Malus, family Rosaceae.)

Apple trees grow best in temperate countries with a cool climate and plenty of rain during the winter. The desired variety is grafted onto rootstocks, and the tree must grow for six to eight years before it produces a good crop of fruit. The tree requires a winter period, in which it is dormant, in order to fruit in the spring, but must be protected from frost while the flowers and fruit are young. Pruning is necessary to produce strong branches, and sprays are used to protect the fruit from pests and to influence its development. The apple has been an important food plant in Europe and Asia for thousands of years.

The continents of Europe and North America (both the USA and Canada) are the main sources of supply, but apples are also produced in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and some parts of Asia. Modern commercial orchards are limited to few species, with trees of ‘dwarf’ growth (2 m/6 ft high), planted 1 m/3 ft apart, for ease and speed of picking by machine.
In 1989 the US apple industry announced it was discontinuing the use of daminozide, a chemical used to ripen apples and make them crisper. Reports indicated that the chemical caused cancer, and that 15% of all apples grown in the USA contained the chemical.

About sleep...

Everyone has an occasional sleepless night, and this is not a problem for most people. However, as many as 25% of Americans report occasional sleeping problems, and insomnia is a chronic problem for about 10% of people.

The lack of restful sleep can affect your ability to carry out daily responsibilities because you are too tired or have trouble concentrating. All types of insomnia can lead to daytime drowsiness, poor concentration, and the inability to feel refreshed and rested in the morning.

Most adults do best with about 8 hours of sleep each night until age 60, after which 6 hours may be enough. Even though the elderly need less sleep, almost one half of people over 60 experience some degree of insomnia.
The best measure of the amount of sleep needed is how you feel. If you awaken feeling refreshed, you are getting enough sleep. For some people, this may take only 4 hours. Others can need up to 10 hours to feel rested.

Using long-acting or high-dose sedatives as a "cure" for insomnia can make the problem worse, not better, over time. Antihistamines (the main ingredient in over-the-counter sleeping pills) can lead to similar difficulties. Using antihistamines over time may also affect your memory.

Strong, prescription sedatives do not produce a natural, restful sleep. In addition, you can become dependent on or tolerant of these drugs. In this case, the same dose of the drug no longer produces sleep, which may lead you to try a higher dose. Higher doses worsen the chance of dependence, tolerance, and side effects. Stopping these medications can cause a rebound insomnia and withdrawal.

A life-threatening disease is rarely the cause of problems with sleep. For many people, poor sleep habits are the cause. However, because insomnia is a key symptom of depression, you should be checked for depression if you are having trouble sleeping.

Insomnia may cause:
• Dark circles under the eyes
• Disorientation
• Fatigue
• Irritability
• Posture changes
• Reduced energy level

It may help to see a psychiatrist, doctor, or another mental health provider to evaluate psychiatric disorders that can lead to insomnia. If you are depressed, antidepressants can help both the sleeping problem and the depression. These medications do not carry the same concerns about tolerance and dependence as sedatives.

What Causes Stress Overload?

Although just enough stress can be a good thing, stress overload is a different story - too much stress isn't good for anyone. For example, feeling a little stress about a test that's coming up can motivate you to study hard. But stressing out too much over the test can make it hard to concentrate on the material you need to learn.

Pressures that are too intense or last too long, or troubles that are shouldered alone, can cause people to feel stress overload. Here are some of the things that can overwhelm the body's ability to cope if they continue for a long time:

• being bullied or exposed to violence or injury
• relationship stress, family conflicts, or the heavy emotions that can accompany a broken heart or the death of a loved one
• ongoing problems with schoolwork related to a learning disability or other problems, such as ADHD (usually once the problem is recognized and the person is given the right learning support the stress disappears)
• crammed schedules, not having enough time to rest and relax, and always being on the go

Some stressful situations can be extreme and may require special attention and care. Posttraumatic stress disorder is a very strong stress reaction that can develop in people who have lived through an extremely traumatic event, such as a serious car accident, a natural disaster like an earthquake, or an assault like rape.

Some people have anxiety problems that can cause them to overreact to stress, making even small difficulties seem like crises. If a person frequently feels tense, upset, worried, or stressed, it may be a sign of anxiety. Anxiety problems usually need attention, and many people turn to professional counsellors for help in overcoming them.

Today I would like to share about herbs…

Uses

Herbs have a variety of uses including culinary, medicinal, or in some cases even spiritual usage. General usage differs between culinary herbs and medicinal herbs. In medicinal or spiritual use any of the parts of the plant might be considered "herbs", including leaves, roots, flowers, seeds, resin, root bark, inner bark (cambium), berries and sometimes the pericarp or other portions.

Culinary herbs

Culinary use of the term "herb" typically distinguishes between herbs, from the leafy green parts of a plant, and spices, from other parts of the plant (including seeds, berries, bark, root, fruit, and even occasionally dried leaves). Culinary herbs are distinguished from vegetables in that like spices they are used in small amounts and provide flavor rather than substance to food.

Some herbs are shrubs (such as rosemary, Rosmarinus officinalis), or trees (such as bay laurel, Laurus nobilis) – this contrasts with botanical herbs, which by definition cannot be woody plants.

Medicinal herbs

Many plants contain phytochemicals that have effects on the body. There may be some effects even when consumed in the small levels that typify culinary "spicing", and some herbs are toxic in larger quantities. For instance, some types of herbal extract, such as the extract of St. John's-wort (Hypericum perforatum) or of kava (Piper methysticum) can be used for medical purposes to relieve depression and stress. However, large amounts of these herbs may lead to poisoning, and should be used with caution. One herb-like substance, called shilajit, may actually help lower blood glucose levels which is especially important for those suffering from diabetes.[2] Some herbs are used not only for recreation can also be used for medicinal purposes such as cannabis.

Friendship is a term used to denote co-operative and supportive behavior between two or more beings. In this sense, the term connotes a relationship which involves mutual knowledge, esteem, and affection and respect along with a degree of rendering service to friends in times of need or crisis. Friends will welcome each other's company and exhibit loyalty towards each other, often to the point of altruism. Their tastes will usually be similar and may converge, and they will share enjoyable activities. They will also engage in mutually helping behavior, such as exchange of advice and the sharing of hardship. A friend is someone who may often demonstrate reciprocating and reflective behaviors. Yet for many, friendship is nothing more than the trust that someone or something will not harm them.

Virus..?

One might think of a computer virus as a tiny computer program designed to perform mischief. Most computer users have heard about computer viruses. A computer virus is the result of a destructive program that someone has written and placed inside a computer program, which unsuspecting people then place in their computer system.

Some viruses can erase all the information from the place where it's stored on the computer's hard disk. But each virus is different. Some display strange messages on your computer screen; others make small changes in your computer programs.

Where do these viruses come from? They certainly don't float around in the air like some human viruses. Instead, like any other computer program, a human must create them.

Why do people create them? It's hard to say. Some people create these programs out of meanness to get even. While others create them just as a challenge. Why do you thing people create these very destructive programs? How does your computer get a virus? Almost exactly the way humans do. The computer gets exposed to one. Well, its not quiet that easy.

Many people get contaminated computer programs by trading programs with other people. Others get contaminated computer programs through the use of modems, which allow computers to communicate over telephone lines (ie. The Internet)

Most of the time, programs that arrive by modem or a trade are perfectly safe to use. However, you do stand a chance of getting a program that has been tampered with. Here a computer program virus is hiding inside the normal program. Many computer programs that are traded were copied illegally.

When this program enters your computer through your input device, it hides in your computer's memory and starts to duplicate itself like a disease. When you save your data, you also save the virus. Slowly but surely, the virus crowds out your data and causes major system problems.
The virus can't affect the computer's ROM (Read Only Memory), but it can affect RAM (Random Access Memory) and your computer disks. When your shut off your computer a virus that has been picked up will be lost, just like any other memory that is held in RAM.
If the virus is on your disk or hard drive, it will return to the computer when you use the program again. If you switch from one program to another without shutting down the machine, the virus will attach itself to the new program. In this way, it can slowly infect all your programs before you know that it exists. Today millions of dollars are being spent to rid and protect computer systems from these virus programs.

Commercial and shareware programs have been created with the sole purpose of detecting and fixing suspect programs that might be viruses infected. These detection programs should be ran when any disk is put into your disk drive or every time your computer is first started up each day to scan the computer's hard drive.

Smoking and Heart Disease

Most people associate cigarette smoking with breathing problems and lung cancer. But did you know that smoking is also a major cause of heart disease for men and women?

A person's risk of heart disease and heart attack greatly increases with the number of cigarettes he or she smokes. Smokers continue to increase their risk of heart attack the longer they smoke. People who smoke a pack of cigarettes a day have more than twice the risk of heart attack than non-smokers. Women who smoke and also take birth control pills increase several times their risk of heart attack, stroke, and peripheral vascular disease.

Cigarette smoke not only affects smokers. When you smoke, the people around you are also at risk for developing health problems, especially children. Environmental tobacco smoke (also called passive smoke or secondhand smoke) affects people who are frequently around smokers. Secondhand smoke can cause chronic respiratory conditions, cancer, and heart disease. It is estimated that around 35,000 nonsmokers die from heart disease each year as a result of exposure to environmental tobacco smoke.

Good natural bar soaps that contain only substances that are good for your skin are available, although most people pay little attention to them. Many people might be unaware of the fact but the skin is the largest organ of the body. As such, the skin needs taken care of just as much as any other major organ, yet few people pay much attention to what they bring into contact with it. Although a lot of money is spent on body products, do you really know what your skin needs for optimum health and what substances can do it harm?

Your skin carries out many functions other than keeping the bits inside that should be kept inside. It is a natural thermostat, containing the sweat glands that dampens it and allows evaporation to cool you down. It contains hairs and subcutaneous fat, both of which help you to remain warm when the external temperature is low. Your skin is designed to remain supple, and so allow free movement of the various parts of your body.

How to be a good person…
• It's good to be humble and kind, but is it not good to be so humble and kind that you let people walk all over you, to the extent that it damages your physical and emotional health, or lessens your ability to care for, spend time with, and provide for your family?
• It's good to be responsible (pay your bills on time, plan for retirement, save up for your kids to go to college) but is it good to be this way to the point that you hoard away hundreds of thousands of dollars in assets and wealth for your own family's financial security without ever giving someone else (who isn't fortunate enough to be born into your family) a helping hand?
• It's good to be positive, but is it good to be so positive that you ignore risks and brush mistakes under the rug, never learning from bad decisions because you're always "positive" that it'll work out the next time around?
• It's good to be honest, but is it good to be so honest that you hurt people's feelings unnecessarily, violate someone's privacy or prevent someone from finding answers that they might need to find for themselves?

Migraine is a neurological syndrome characterized by altered bodily experiences, painful headaches, and nausea. It is a common condition which affects women more frequently than men.

The typical migraine headache is one-sided and pulsating, lasting 4 to 72 hours[1]. Accompanying complaints are nausea and vomiting, and a heightened sensitivity to bright lights (photophobia) and noise (hyperacusis).[2][3][4] Approximately one third of people who experience migraines get a preceding aura, in which a patient may sense a strange light or unpleasant smell.[5]

Although the exact cause of migraine remains unknown, the most widespread theory is that it is a disorder of the serotonergic control system. Recently, PET scans have demonstrated the aura to coincide with spreading cortical depression after an episode of greatly increased blood flow (up to 300% higher than baseline). There also appear to be migraine variants that originate in the brainstem and involve dysfunction in calcium and potassium ion transport between cell membranes. Genetic factors may also contribute.[6] Studies on twins show that genes have a 60 to 65% influence on the development of migraine.[7][8] Fluctuating hormone levels show a relation to migraine in several ways: three quarters of adult migraine patients are female while migraine affects approximately equal numbers of boys and girls before puberty,[citation needed] and migraine is known to disappear during pregnancy in a substantial number of sufferers.

The treatment of migraine begins with simple painkillers for headache and anti-emetics for nausea, and avoidance of triggers if present. Specific anti-migraine drugs can be used to treat migraine. If the condition is severe and frequent enough, preventative drugs might be considered

I read article about Donald Trump.
Donald John Trump born June 14, 1946 is an American business magnate, socialite, television personality, and author. He is the Chairman and CEO of the Trump Organization, a US-based real-estate developer. Trump is also the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts, which operates numerous casinos and hotels across the world. Trump's extravagant lifestyle and outspoken manner have made him a celebrity for years, a status which was only amplified by the success of his NBC reality show, The Apprentice of which he serves as host and executive producer.

Donald was the fourth of five children of Fred Trump, a wealthy real estate developer based in New York City. Donald was strongly influenced by his father in his eventual goals to make a career in real estate development and upon his graduation from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1968, Donald Trump joined his father's company, The Trump Organization.

Starting with the renovation of the Commodore Hotel into the Grand Hyatt with the Pritzker family, he continued with Trump Tower in New York City and several other residential projects. Trump would later expand into the airline industry (buying the Eastern Shuttle routes),and Atlantic City casino business, including buying the Taj Mahal Casino from the Crosby family, then taking it into bankruptcy. This expansion, both personal and business, led to mounting debt. Much of the news about him in the early 1990s involved his much publicized financial problems, creditor-led bailout, extramarital affair with Marla Maples, and the resulting divorce from his first wife, Ivana Trump.

The late 1990s saw a resurgence in his financial situation and fame. In 2001, he completed Trump World Tower, a 72-story residential tower across from the United Nations Headquarters. Also, he began construction on Trump Place, a multi-building development along the Hudson River. Trump owns commercial space in Trump International Hotel and Tower, a 44-story mixed-use hotel and condominium tower on Columbus Circle. Trump currently owns several million square feet of prime Manhattan real estate, and remains a major figure in the field of real estate in the United States and a celebrity for his prominent media exposures.

Do you have a family member with Autism? I do have one which is my nephew. He is now 10 years old but his attitude does not fit his age. At first I cannot accept his behaviour because he does not act like other normal children. However, after read an article about Autism, I have started to understand his attitude. According to this article, Autistic toddlers have more striking social deviance; for example, they have less eye contact and anticipatory postures and are more likely to communicate by manipulating another person's hand. This is true because even he was 3 years old, he was unable to speak. He only pull our hands and showed us what he wants. Contrary to common belief, autistic children do not prefer to be alone. Making and maintaining friendships often proves to be difficult for those with autism. For them, the quality of friendships, not the number of friends, predicts how lonely they are. That is why autistic really needs their family.

But the surprising news from the scientific community is that this reputedly decadent treat actually has some health benefits, especially if you choose your chocolate wisely.

i read article about dangers of diet & weight loss drugs

Diet and weight loss pills can have a significant impact on our blood pressure, metabolism and general health. Pills are not an easy option for easy or fast weight loss. Whether they assist weight loss or not, most diet and weight loss pills have unpleasant side effects, create drug-dependency and interfere with other medications. Weight loss medications are really designed for obesity control where the advantage of losing weight outweighs the disadvantage of side-effects. They are a short-term diet aid for severely overweight dieters. Finally, nearly all clinical trials of diet and weight loss pills show that weight loss drug therapy is only effective when part of a comprehensive weight management program of diet, exercise and weight loss support.

I believe that most of us really love fast food. But do we really know what is fast food? Fast food is the term given to food that can be prepared and served very quickly. While any meal with low preparation time can be considered to be fast food, typically the term refers to food sold in a restaurant or store with low quality preparation and served to the customer in a packaged form for take-out/take-away. Outlets may be stands or kiosks, which may provide no shelter or seating,or fast food restaurants (also known as quick service restaurants). Franchise operations which are part of restaurant chains have standardized foodstuffs shipped to each restaurant from central locations. The most common fast food restaurants are KFC, Pizza Hut, McDonalds and Baskin Robins.

However, fast food are actually harm to our health. Trans fats which are commonly found in fast food have been shown in many tests to have a negative health effect on the body. A 2006 study[23] fed monkeys a diet consisting of a similar level of trans fats as what a person who ate fast food regularly would consume. Both diets contained the same overall number of calories. It was found that the monkeys who consumed higher level of trans fat developed more abdominal fat than those fed a diet rich in unsaturated fats. They also developed signs of insulin resistance, which is an early indicator of diabetes. After six years on the diet, the trans fat fed monkeys had gained 7.2% of their body weight, compared to just 1.8% in the unsaturated fat group.

The director of the obesity program for the Children's Hospital Boston, David Ludwig, claims that "fast food consumption has been shown to increase calorie intake, promote weight gain, and elevate risk for diabetes". The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ranked obesity as the number one health threat for Americans in 2004. It is the second leading cause of preventable death in the United Sates and results in 400,000 deaths each year. About 60 million American adults are classified as being obese with another 127 million being overweight. Health issues associated with obesity causes economic despair regarding health care. According to a 2003 study conducted by RTI International in North Carolina, the cost of health care in America is said to increase by $93 billion a year, mainly from Type 2 diabetes and heart disease, both associated with obesity.

Excessive calories are another issue with fast food. A regular but not overly filling meal at McDonald's of a Big Mac, large fries, and a large Coca-Cola drink amounts to 1430 calories. A diet of approximately 2000 calories is considered a healthy amount of calories for an entire day (which is different depending on several factors such as weight, height, physical activity and gender).

Today, I have read an article about hours of operation. In Dallas, Texas, an employee of the Southland Ice Company starting selling such grocery items. The convenience store are open from 7 am to 11 pm and it’s name are taken from the hour of the shop are open. Now, the shop are known as 7-Eleven. But 7-11 forged on, extending their actual hours to 24 a day, but keeping the original name. The first outlet were selling soft drink and coffee. Their 5800 stores in the U.S. and Canada, and a total of 25,000 worldwide, make them the largest retail convenience stores in the world. The most Slurpees are downed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (a notoriously cold place in winter) and Detroit, Michigan (almost as cold); coffee is chugged down in record gallons in Long Island, N.Y; Big Gulps disappear by the gallon in Las Vegas and Utah; hot dogs are scarfed more in Washington, D.C. than anywhere else, and nachos are the nosh of choice in Colorado.

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

i am also read an article about '5 Facts You MUST Understand if You Are Ever Going to Lose Your Belly Fat and Get Six Pack Abs' in the internet by Mike Geary.

That's all about the article that i had read.

i am also read an article about 'Why Is Water4Gas So Popular?' by Garko.

i think this article is a new knowledge that i want to share to others.

When an employee isn't performing at their job effectively then they can expect they will no longer have that job soon. You may have noticed that except for local TV in New York, Rudy Giuliani (Julie Annie, Ghouliani, etc) is no longer in the public eye as a hero or a leading politician. Rudy performed so badly in the debates, made such a public spectacle of himself so many times (for instance dressing in drag) and upset so many folks that he ended up as a SNL parody of himself and ultimately had to drop out in disgrace.

Likewise, ingrained patterns of what is acceptable standards for success in a society start to fade out of fashion when people start to discover that these patterns don’ take them where they were told they would. The social system we all learned as kids which asserted that one goes to school, you go to college, get hired by a corporation and you retire in 40 years with a retirement plan and a gift watch from the company was an idea, an expectancy, a standard which went by the wayside as companies failed, as colleges failed to properly educate to the extent that quite a few graduates are functionally illiterate.

Another instance going by the boards is that parents would follow the recommendations of their children's teachers and counselors even to the extent of when their kids would get false labels (ADHD) and be put on powerful psychotropic drugs. But now that parents are finding out about the consequences of these poisons, including school shootings, more and more parents are refusing to follow the demands of psych operatives in the school system and we have a major change happening there.

When destructive programs are laid bare then they get replaced.
Until just a couple of years ago most Americans thought the Federal Reserve was helpful and that taxes were an unavoidable fact of existence.
Now go and ask someone about the Federal Reserve, especially if they have debt or property (the same thing) and see how their opinion has changed. Due to the expose by Aaron Russo and his movie America Freedom to Fascism and Ron Paul and his tremendous influence upon political discussion in America. Because of these patriots and others like Ed and Elaine Brown of New Hampshier and Wesley Snipes and others the Americans are discovering that the Federal Reserves is as Federal as Federal Express, that the federal income tax is unconstitutional and one of the worst scams in history and even the necon GOP candidates are calling for a review of the matter in their platforms.

As for scams, there is one more who's demise has come. One that you can decide to stop being a victim of right here and right now.
When Oil corporations start crumbling because thousands of more and more people every month find out that there are real alternatives to fuel in hydrogen burning systems based on water which save car owners $1000s, help clean the environment instead of destroying it and help their cars operate better... that is another example of a failed system or industry being replaced by a better one.
And one that well overdue.
A vehicle one hundred years ago attained 40% higher fuel efficiency than today. That is criminal incompetence and a huge scam and you no longer need to be the effect of it.
WATER4GAS is providing information for a nominal fee which consumers can use at home to create a small gizmo which infuses hydrogen into the fuel/air mixture that their automobile runs on.
What this does is make smaller particles out of the particles that the system burns as fuel. So the system is able to use a lot more of it.
With WATER4GAS you can minimumly expect to improve your fuel economy by 30-50% or significantly more. With WATER4GAS gasoline is made usable so you can improve your fuel economy.
It also helps make emissions substantially cleaner.
This package of info has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND people already and happy members number about 99%! So how about you?
Welcome to the revolution!

Benefit of exercise
Physical exercise is important for maintaining physical fitness and can contribute positively to maintaining a healthy weight, building and maintaining healthy bone density, muscle strength, and joint mobility, promoting physiological well-being, reducing surgical risks, and strengthening the immune system.
Frequent and regular aerobic exercise has been shown to help prevent or treat serious and life-threatening chronic conditions such as high blood pressure, obesity, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes, insomnia, and depression[6]. Strength training appears to have continuous energy-burning effects that persist for about 24 hours after the training, though they do not offer the same cardiovascular benefits as aerobic exercises do.
Both aerobic and anaerobic exercise also work to increase the mechanical efficiency of the heart by increasing cardiac volume (aerobic exercise), or myocardial thickness (strength training). Such changes are generally beneficial and healthy if they occur in response to exercise.

strock
A stroke is the rapidly developing loss of brain functions due to a disturbance in the blood vessels supplying blood to the brain. This can be due to ischemia (lack of blood supply) caused by thrombosis or embolism or due to a hemorrhage. As a result, the affected area of the brain is unable to function, leading to inability to move one or more limbs on one side of the body, inability to understand or formulate speech or inability to see one side of the visual field. In the past, stroke was referred to as cerebrovascular accident or CVA, but the term "stroke" is now preferred.
A stroke is a medical emergency and can cause permanent neurological damage, complications and death. It is the leading cause of adult disability in the United States and Europe. It is the number two cause of death worldwide and may soon become the leading cause of death worldwide. Risk factors for stroke include advanced age, hypertension (high blood pressure), previous stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA), diabetes, high cholesterol, cigarette smoking and atrial fibrillation. High blood pressure is the most important modifiable risk factor of stroke.

Tips - shopping
Make a list — and stick to it.
This is the cardinal rule of shopping. The list represents your grocery needs: the staples you’re out of, and the food you need for upcoming meals. When you stray from the list, you’re buying on impulse, and that’s how shopping trips get out of control
Compare unit pricing.
The biggest package isn’t always the most cost-effective. Stores know that consumers want to buy in bulk, and so they mix it up: sometimes the bulk item is cheaper, sometimes it’s more expensive. The only way you can be sure is to take a calculator. Our grocery store posts unit pricing for most items, which makes comparisons easy.
Ditch the basket or cart.
If you’re dashing into the supermarket to pick up milk and bread, don’t use a basket. Baskets induce people to buy more. If you’re limited to what you can carry, you’re more likely to avoid impulse purchases. Only use a basket (or shopping cart) if it’s absolutely necessary.

Ive read about Meteor Showers. For your knowledge their is many types of Meteor Showers will happen in several month which is
January 4, the Quadrantids. This short, sharp shower peaks around 2 a.m. Eastern time with as many as 100 meteors an hour streaming from its radiant in northern Boötes. The waning crescent Moon rises late, so its light won’t interfere.

April 22, the Lyrids. Many of the dozen or so meteors per hour spawned by this shower will be washed out by the glare from the nearly full Moon. If you’re looking anyway, the radiant is near the Hercules-Lyra border.May 5,the Eta Aquarids. This shower is good for Northern and Southern Hemisphere observers though the radiant, in the Water Jar of Aquarius, rises late for northerners. But 20-plus meteors an hour should be visible in a moonless sky.

July 29,the Delta Aquarids.Southern Hemisphere skywatchers have the best view because the radiant, near Delta Aquarii, is below the celestial equator. Still, northern observers should spot many of the predicted 20 or so hourly meteors, and light from the crescent Moon won’t interfere.

August 12,the Perseids. The Perseid shower is a popular display because it offers plenty of meteors (up to 60 an hour) under a summer sky. Showtime begins after 1:30 a.m. with the departure of the 10-day-old Moon. The radiant is near the Double Cluster in Perseus.

October 21,the Orionids
Light from the last-quarter Moon will hide some of the 10 to 15 hourly meteors that stream from the shower’s radiant, located above Orion’s bright reddish star Betelgeuse.

November 17,the Leonids
This weak display (less than a dozen an hour) is also bothered by moonlight. The radiant is in Leo’s Sickle.

December 14,the Geminids
With an average of 75 meteors per hour radiating from near the bright star Castor, this shower is usually one of the year’s best. But the presence of the Moon, a mere two days past full, will spoil the show though bright meteors will pierce the moonlight.

Biscuits.
after reading few about biscuit.i realise that biscuit have two interesting stories about biscuit.
their are biscuit in British usage and biscuits in North American usage.British usage of the word biscuit was defined in the defence of a tax judgement found in favour of McVitie's and their product Jaffa Cakes which Her Majesty's Customs and Excise claimed was a biscuit and was therefore liable to value added tax chocolate covered biscuits are liable to VAT, whilst chocolate covered cakes are not. The successful defence rested on the fact that "biscuits go soft when stale, whereas cakes go hard when stale". North american usage biscuit are extremely soft on the inside and similar to scones or more closely to the bannock from the Shetland Isles. In the United States, there is a growing tendency to refer to sweet variations as "scone"[citation needed] and to the savory as a "biscuit", though there are exceptions for both (such as the cheese scone). A sweet biscuit served with a topping of fruit and juice is called shortcake. In Canada, both sweet and savory are referred to as "biscuits", "baking powder biscuits" or "tea biscuits", although "scone" is also starting to be used.

Today i had open the News Straits Times online and i had read about a girl name Noor Fadilah Ahmad,18, who was abducted from Malaysia to eastern Lombok by a man two months ago will return home tomorrow. The Mataram Immigration Department also agreed that Noor Fadilah, who had married Nasrudin Dahrom, 24, would be allowed to return to Malaysia without going to jail for entering the island illegally since Sept 6.

This followed a two hour discussion between the Umno youth community defence secretariat chairman Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim and Mataram immigration enforcement chief M. Adnan.

Also present were Malaysian embassy counselor (immigration) Mohd Zahari Hassan and secretariat secretary Datuk Muhd Khairun Aseh, a lawyer.

“It was resolved in the spirit of comradeship between Malaysia and Indonesia,” said Abdul Azeez who led the mission to bring Noor Fadilah home after the case caught public attention on Sept 24.

According to Indonesian immigration law, an individual caught entring the country illegally could be jailed six years or fined three million rupiah (about RM800).

“I am optimistic that Noor Fadilah will meet her parents here tomorrow,” said Abdul Azeez who was flanked by her parents Ahmad Abdul Hamid, 46, and Masitah Abdullah, 42.

Noor Fadilah from Bagan Serai, Perak, was abducted to Lombok by Nasrudin in Sept after her parents objected to their relationship.

Today I had read something that make us proud as asian country. It happen in Kuala Lumpur.
AirAsia has finally conquered its “last frontier” with the Indian government giving the low-cost carrier approval to fly to India.

AirAsia chief executive officer Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes said the airline would start selling tickets to Tiruchi in Tamil Nadu at midnight tomorrow, with the first flight to take off at 7.40am on Dec 1.

“It will be a daily flight and we are looking at even adding a second flight now as the initial response has been tremendous,” he told reporters at a press conference here yesterday.

Special promotional prices for the flight will cost RM49 one way while the normal ticket price will cost about RM200 one way.

Fernandes said plans were now in the works for the next one-and-a-half years for AirAsia to fly to many more destinations in India including Chennai, Madurai and Kochi.

It is learnt that these destinations, plus Tiruchi, are the places where many Malaysian Indians can trace their roots and travel to for family visits.

“AirAsia X, meanwhile, will fly to places like New Dehli, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Calcutta,” he added.

He said AirAsia would initially invest between RM5mil and RM7mil to set up infrastructure in India and was confident that they would do well.

“This is an exciting period for us. I’m looking at a load factor of at least 90% for our first flight,” he said.

Fernandes said it had taken the airline seven years to reach this stage and with its entry into India, his mission as CEO was complete.

“I had said then that India would be the last place we need to go to. It is now over to AirAsia X to grow the business to Japan, South Korea, Europe and the United States.”

Fernandes said he expected a huge growth in Indian tourists to Malaysia and that he was not worried about the global economic slowdown.

“I believe that you have to be innovative. While other airlines are cutting back, we are expanding and can take up the slack.

In response to recent Malaysia Airlines advertisements, Fernandes said his battle with MAS was over and that it was time to move on.

“We can compete fairly all the time. That is not a problem. It was only when they blocked us from getting what we wanted that I made noise.”

In Mumbai and elsewhere in Maharashtra and Bihar, there has been violence these few days, no thanks to politicians who play communal card.

MANY years ago, a distinguished western ambassador had described India as a working anarchy. How prophetic those words were!

For not a day passes without there being ample fresh evidence of the anarchy in action in some or other part of the vast country of over one billion people.

In fact, glancing at the newspaper headlines a foreign visitor might get the impression that the country was about to break up into several mutually hostile parts.

Unfamiliar with the ordinariness of the chaotic conditions in the world’s largest democracy, he might wonder how the nation has survived for over 60 years after the departure of its British masters.

And approvingly recall Winston Churchill’s warning that ‘power will go to the hands of rascals, rogues and freebooters…and they will fight among themselves and India will be lost in political squabbles.’

Increasingly, right-thinking Indians everywhere are getting weary of the ugly doings of the politicians. A number of them find some merit in the late British statesman’s caustic remarks prior to the grant of independence to this country.

For proof, witness the orgy of violence in Mumbai and elsewhere in the State of Maharashtra and the counter-violence in the eastern State of Bihar these past few days.

A highly ambitious and wholly unprincipled politician, Raj Thackeray, seeking to carve a political constituency of his own after finding himself ejected from his uncle, Balasaheb Thackeary’s Shiv Sena, has kicked up a right royal mess on the sons-of-the-soil plank.

For over a year now, the 40-year-old Thackeray has carried out a shrill campaign against ‘north Indians’ in Mumbai, the country’s commercial capital, arguing that ‘outsiders’ or ‘migrants’ have monopolised jobs and other economic opportunities which by right ought to have gone to the local Marathi people.

Raj’s uncle, Balasaheb Thackeray, had quit his job as a newspaper cartoonist in the early 60s to kick up a shindy against ‘south Indians’ in Mumbai occupying government and private sector jobs.

At that time too there were charges that he was propped up by the then ruling Congress Party to neutralise the Communists who had dominated the blue-collar trade unions in most commercial and industrial establishments.

The Shiv Sena, founded in 1966, since then had turned its attention against Muslims, targeting them for being ‘anti-national.’ It had spearheaded the violence against the community in the wake of the demolition of the Babri Masjid in December 1992.

Four decades later, the Sena founder’s nephew, Raj, angry with his uncle’s decision to annoint his own son, Uddhav, as his political heir, floated his own outfit.

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena with the not-so-covert encouragement of the ruling Congress-Nationalist Congress Party alliance in the State has virtually held Mumbai to ransom for over a year now.

It has targeted north Indians in the most cosmopolitan city in the country, burning taxis and three-wheeled auto-rickshaws and assaulting their Bihari and UP drivers.

It has torn down shop signs written in Hindi or English, demanding these be replaced by Marathi language signboards, and has railed against the celebration of the ‘Chhat festival’ by Biharis in Mumbai.

Sometime ago, it caused the Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan to tender an apology for the reaction of his actor wife, Jaya, who had pointedly mocked at Raj’s insistence on ‘everyone living in Mumbai speaking in Marathi’, arguing that since she came from UP she would speak in Hindi.

After soft-pedalling the threat to peace and law and order from Raj and his handful of ‘hoodlums,’ as the media called the MNS activists, the Congress-led coalition in Maharashtra came under intense pressure from various sections of the society.

Raj was arrested last Tuesday. The arrest followed violent attacks on north Indians appearing for a railway recruitment exam for Class III jobs in Mumbai two days earlier.

Young examinees from Bihar and UP were attacked by MNS goons, with a number of them sustaining serious injuries. At least one youth from Bihar later succumbed to his injuries.

Led by the opposition BJP, several allies of the ruling Congress Party, notably the Bihar-centric Rashtriya Janata Dal of Railway Minister Laloo Yadav and UP-centric Samajwadi Party of Mulayam Singh Yadav sought stern action against the MNS leader.

A non-bailable warrant issued against him by a court in Jharkhand on a petition by a lawyer who alleged that he was inciting hatred and enmity between communities was yet to be served on Raj. Instead, he was held on bailable charges relating to cases of incitement of violence and arson in Mumbai and other towns in Maharashtra.

Following his arrest, there were sporadic incidents of violence in Mumbai. A number of public buses and privately-owned taxis were set ablaze. Commercial establishments and public and private transport remained shut due to fear of the MNS hoodlums.

The local police, staffed by Marathis and sympathetic to the jobs-for-the locals plank, gave the MNS activists a long rope before the central Rapid Action Force brought the situation under control. Raj was freed on bail a day later.

Meanwhile, in retaliation agitators in Bihar burnt a couple of rail coaches and ransacked at least two railway stations. Last Thursday the situation in parts of Bihar was tense with anti-MNS mobs taking to the streets and forcing the railways to suspend operations in the more troubled parts of the state.

The counter-violence in Bihar was reportedly encouraged by local politicians with an eye on exploiting the situation in the coming parliamentary poll.

The root cause of the problem actually was not the denial of jobs to the local Marathi youths but their reluctance to work as taxi and auto drivers, as peons and hawkers of cheap foodstuffs or as ‘dhobhi’ ( washermen) and coolies, jobs willingly taken up by ill-educated youths from Bihar and UP villages.

It is notable that the Constitution guarantees freedom of movement across the country. All citizens are free to live and work wherever they want, a point countered by Thackeray Jr., who argues that the creation of linguistic states presupposed that preference in jobs would be given to locals speaking the local language.

As it happens in most such manifestations of a ‘working anarchy’, the situation in both Maharashtra and Bihar would come under control after the ‘locals’ of each respective state had wreaked their angry spleens against innocent people and public property.

But, then, the eruption in Tamil Nadu, where the DMK Government is fanning anger against the alleged ‘genocide’ of Tamils in Sri Lanka, is waiting to erupt.

Given that the next parliamentary election is only a few months away seems to add vitally to the temptation of opportunistic politicians to try and incite the people against real or imaginary injustice.

This is just a piece that what I had read today. Nuclear energy is undergoing a worldwide renaissance, but poor nations yearning to develop need to realize that it is no panacea to profound poverty, the head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog said on Monday.

After the 1986 Chernobyl disaster in the former Soviet republic of Ukraine, many governments questioned the value of nuclear power. Some European countries, like Austria and Germany, decided to wean themselves off nuclear energy.

But issues like global warming and the environmental damage caused by fossil fuels have brought the nuclear reactor, which emits virtually no "greenhouse gases", back into vogue.

Myopia or short-sightedness has a strong genetic component to it, though close reading, doing too much computer work and other close work often exacerbates it.

It would not be exactly accurate to say that blindness is a disease of old age because old age per se does not cause it.

This means that when you grow old, you will not automatically get blind. But with old age comes many disorders like cataract, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.

It is true to say that blindness occurs most often with old age because of these disorders.

Half of all blind people are over the age of 65.

OSTEOARTHRITIS and osteoporosis are both common conditions associated with ageing. The word “osteo” means bone in Greek.

Brittle bones associated with osteoporosis have long been recognised as a risk factor for osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is the wearing out of the normal smooth cartilage which covers the ends of the bones as they come together in joints.

Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis. It usually develops gradually, over time. Several different joints can be affected, but osteoarthritis is most frequently seen in the hands, knees, hips, feet and spine.

Assalamualaikum...

hello everybody.i just read the new information about computer.it quite interesting and i like to share with all of you.

A computer is a machine that manipulates data according to a list of instructions.

The first devices that resemble modern computers date to the mid-20th century (1940–1945), although the computer concept and various machines similar to computers existed earlier. Early electronic computers were the size of a large room, consuming as much power as several hundred modern personal computers(PC).[1] Modern computers are based on tiny integrated circuits and are millions to billions of times more capable while occupying a fraction of the space.[2] Today, simple computers may be made small enough to fit into a wristwatch and be powered from a watch battery. Personal computers, in various forms, are icons of the Information Age and are what most people think of as "a computer"; however, the most common form of computer in use today is the embedded computer. Embedded computers are small, simple devices that are used to control other devices — for example, they may be found in machines ranging from fighter aircraft to industrial robots, digital cameras, and children's toys.

The ability to store and execute lists of instructions called programs makes computers extremely versatile and distinguishes them from calculators. The Church–Turing thesis is a mathematical statement of this versatility: any computer with a certain minimum capability is, in principle, capable of performing the same tasks that any other computer can perform. Therefore, computers with capability and complexity ranging from that of a personal digital assistant to a supercomputer are all able to perform the same computational tasks given enough time and storage capacity.

i hope this information will be usefull later on.

thank you for reading...

This day,I had found an article about the ancient tradition of ‘sworn virgins’ is dying out in Albania.
DRENE Markgjoni spent 12 years in a hard-labour camp, punished for her fiance’s attempt to flee Albania’s regime, then one of the world’s most repressive and isolationist.
She swore she would never suffer like that for somebody else again.
She pledged to forgo sex and marriage for the rest of her life, and declared herself a man.
Drane Markgjoni declared herself a man after spending 12 years in a hard labour camp as punishment for her fiance’s attempt to flee Albania’s regime
That was six decades ago. Now 85, with close-cropped white hair, dressed in a man’s blue striped shirt and black trousers, she greets visitors with a manly handshake.
The way she walks, her confident gestures, everything about her is masculine.
Only her voice - soft and feminine - reveals her to be one of the last sworn virgins in Albania: women who dress, act and are treated as men.
“I am happier like this,’’ she says. “I don’t regret it at all. Not a hair on my head does.’’

IT IS traumatic for an employee who has health problems to be told that his employment is coming to an end. Unpleasant as it may be, this is sometimes a reality that has to be faced.
If and when this happens, what are the rights of an employee? In a situation where an employee continues to be on extended sick leave, is there no obligation on the employer’s part to wait until the employee recovers from his illness?
A contractual relationship exists between an employer and an employee. However, difficulties arise when an employee suffers from illness and is frequently away from work. In a large organisation, the effect of the absence may be mitigated by assistance and support from others. However, in small organisations, the effect may be somewhat different.

The earth is getting hotter.
Global warming is already affecting the world we know, endangering polar bears, shortening ski seasons and creating more intense storms. Although local temperatures fluctuate naturally, over the past 50 years the average global temperature has increased at the fastest rate in recorded history. And experts think the trend is accelerating: the 10 hottest years on record have all occurred since 1990. Scientists say that unless we curb global warming emissions, average U.S. temperatures could be 3 to 9 degrees higher by the end of the century. A hotter planet means dirtier air and water, more severe floods and droughts, more wildfires and other serious consequences.
As earth's thermostat climbs, threats to human health will mount, from tropical diseases to an increase in allergies and asthma.
A national law to curb greenhouse gas emissions is needed right away, with the proper provisions to ensure it will make a difference.

Causes
Carbon dioxide and other air pollution that is collecting in the atmosphere like a thickening blanket, trapping the sun's heat and causing the planet to warm up. Coal-burning power plants are the largest U.S. source of carbon dioxide pollution -- they produce 2.5 billion tons every year. Automobiles, the second largest source, create nearly 1.5 billion tons of CO2 annually.

Effect
Global warming is already causing damage in many parts of the United States. In 2002, Colorado, Arizona and Oregon endured their worst wildfire seasons ever. The same year, drought created severe dust storms in Montana, Colorado and Kansas, and floods caused hundreds of millions of dollars in damage in Texas, Montana and North Dakota. Since the early 1950s, snow accumulation has declined 60 percent and winter seasons have shortened in some areas of the Cascade Range in Oregon and Washington.

Of course, the impacts of global warming are not limited to the United States. In 2003, extreme heat waves caused more than 20,000 deaths in Europe and more than 1,500 deaths in India. And in what scientists regard as an alarming sign of events to come, the area of the Arctic's perennial polar ice cap is declining at the rate of 9 percent per decade.
Melting glaciers, early snowmelt and severe droughts will cause more dramatic water shortages in the American West.

Rising sea levels will lead to coastal flooding on the Eastern seaboard, in Florida, and in other areas, such as the Gulf of Mexico.

Warmer sea surface temperatures will fuel more intense hurricanes in the southeastern Atlantic and Gulf coasts.

Forests, farms and cities will face troublesome new pests and more mosquito-borne diseases.

Disruption of habitats such as coral reefs and alpine meadows could drive many plant and animal species to extinction.

What you can do?
There are many simple steps you can take right now to cut global warming pollution. Make conserving energy a part of your daily routine. Each time you choose a compact fluorescent light bulb over an incandescent bulb, for example, you'll lower your energy bill and keep nearly 700 pounds of carbon dioxide out of the air over the bulb's lifetime. By opting for a refrigerator with the Energy Star label -- indicating it uses at least 15 percent less energy than the federal requirement -- over a less energy-efficient model, you can reduce carbon dioxide pollution by nearly a ton in total.

A little action will bring a big change. So let us start our role today to protect our earth.

I read about X-rays. X-rays are used to detect any fracture in the human body, and also in the security checks to check for any weapons. The use of X-rays are limited as they are harmful to the human body causing disintegration of DNA and hence cancers may be precipitated. Terahertz rays or T-rays are considered harmless, that is, they do not predispose the human body to cancers and hence can be used freely. This benefit also applies at the security checks at any airports or public places where T-rays would reflect on any weapons and can be detected easily. For that matter, T-rays have an additional benefit of detecting even plastic objects which often go undetected in X-ray. Sciensists also claim that T-rays can tell the material of the item which is reflected, as it uses a technique called spectroscopy. In this new technology, every item would be reflected in a different color, so making out a particular item as harmful is easy.

T- rays are not required to be used close to the scanned item, as in the case of X-rays. It can be safely kept at a distance and scanning is done. A lot of research is going on to enhance the capacity of T-rays to use the spectroscopy at a distance.
The possibilities of T-rays are several. They can be used in the pharmacology industry to aid in detection of the contents of the medicines, used to detect tumors in a human body, aid in detecting any defect in the machines. These are just a few of the benefits.

I believe that most of UMP students use Skype as a media to chat with your friends. But do you know what is Skype instead of chatting space?
Skype is software that allows users to make telephone calls over the Internet. Calls to other users of the service and to free-of-charge numbers are free, while calls to other landlines and mobile phones can be made for a fee. Additional features include instant messaging, file transfer and video conferencing.

It was created by entrepreneurs Niklas Zennström, Janus Friis, and a team of software developers based in Tallinn, Estonia. The Skype Group has its headquarters in Luxembourg, with offices in London, Tallinn, Tartu, Stockholm, Prague, and San Jose.

Skype has experienced rapid growth in popular usage since the launch of its services. It was acquired by eBay in September 2005 for $2.6 billion.

Therefore, we can say that Skype is a rapid chat space.

Have you ever heard about FedEx, GdEx and Nationwide? These are actually multinational courier companies. What is courier?

A courier is a person or company employed to deliver messages, packages and mail. Couriers are distinguished from ordinary mail services by features such as speed, security, tracking, signature, specialization and individualization of services, and committed delivery times, which are optional for most everyday mail services. As a premium service, couriers are usually more expensive than usual mail services, and their use is typically restricted to packages where one or more of these features are considered important enough to warrant the cost.

There are a few of courier types such as; bicycle, motorcycle, trucks, railways and aircraft.

Reuse, recycle, remodel: environmentally friendly materials and techniques are changing the way we build in the West. Resource- and environmentally friendly building--also known as green building--is gaining popularity in the West. Now even the commonest materials such as carpet and paint have green options and are being competitively priced.Green building is about reducing environmental impact, whether in remodeling a home or planning a community. It's everything from energy-efficient and health-conscious design to using salvaged materials.I think that someone can saved their money buying recycled products.Besides,it also heip us provides the greatest energy and resource savings.

Mostly, people love to take junk food as their snack. Junk food is a broad term that is used to describe a variety of food products from sweets that contain little to no nutritional value to products used in meals that may contain many essential nutrients but also utilize ingredients which are considered to be unhealthy when consumed on a regular basis, with some considered unhealthy to consume at all.

Some characteristics which may cause certain foods to be considered Junk food are containing high levels of refined sugar, white flour, trans fat and saturated fat, salt, and various additives such as preservatives and coloring agents. Other characteristics include lacking in proteins, vitamins, fiber and other nutrients required for a healthy diet.

Many forms of Fast food are popular with suppliers because they are relatively inexpensive to manufacture and are particularly resistant to spoilage. These products may also be popular with consumers because they are easy to purchase, require little or no preparation, and are convenient to consume. The consumption of products considered junk food has been associated with many health problems including obesity, heart disease, Type 2 diabetes and dental cavities. There is also concern about the targeting of marketing to children.

Bungee jumping is one of the extreme outdoor sport. Bungee jumping
is an activity that involves jumping from a tall structure while connected to a large elastic cord. The tall structure is usually a fixed object, such as a building, bridge or crane; but it is also possible to jump from a movable object, such as a hot-air-balloon or helicopter, that has the ability to hover over one spot on the ground. The thrill comes as much from the free-falling as from the rebounds.[3]

When the person jumps, the cord stretches to transform the gravitational potential energy and kinetic energy of the fall, then the jumper flies upwards again as the cord snaps back. The jumper oscillates up and down until all the energy is transformed into heat, sound, and other forms of non-mechanical energy.

Assalamualaikum.

today i would like to share with all of you about network.

we will have test tomorrow and i hope this note will help you guys a lots.

A computer network is a group of interconnected computers. Networks may be classified according to a wide variety of characteristics. This article provides a general overview of some types and categories and presents the basic components of a network.

Connection method

Computer networks can also be classified according to the hardware and software technology that is used to interconnect the individual devices in the network, such as Optical fiber, Ethernet, Wireless LAN, HomePNA, or Power line communication.

Ethernet uses physical wiring to connect devices. Frequently deployed devices include hubs, switches, bridges and/or routers.

Wireless LAN technology is designed to connect devices without wiring. These devices use radio waves or infrared signals as a transmission medium.

[edit] Functional relationship (Network Architectures)

Computer networks may be classified according to the functional relationships which exist among the elements of the network, e.g., Active Networking, Client-server and Peer-to-peer (workgroup) architecture.

Types of networks

Below is a list of the most common types of computer networks in order of scale.

Personal Area Network (PAN)
Local Area Network (LAN)
Campus Area Network (CAN)
Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)
Wide Area Network (WAN)
Global Area Network (GAN)

Internetwork

Main article: Internetwork

Two or more networks or network segments connected using devices that operate at layer 3 (the 'network' layer) of the OSI Basic Reference Model, such as a router. Any interconnection among or between public, private, commercial, industrial, or governmental networks may also be defined as an internetwork.

In modern practice, the interconnected networks use the Internet Protocol. There are at least three variants of internetwork, depending on who administers and who participates in them:

* Intranet
* Extranet
* Internet

Intranets and extranets may or may not have connections to the Internet. If connected to the Internet, the intranet or extranet is normally protected from being accessed from the Internet without proper authorization. The Internet is not considered to be a part of the intranet or extranet, although it may serve as a portal for access to portions of an extranet.

Hello everyone...

Did you know what the different between http and https?

okay,let me explain.

Hypertext Transfer Protocol over Secure Socket Layer or HTTPS is a URI scheme used to indicate a secure HTTP connection. It is syntactically identical to the http:// scheme normally used for accessing resources using HTTP. Using an https: URL indicates that HTTP is to be used, but with a different default TCP port (443) and an additional encryption/authentication layer between the HTTP and TCP. This system was designed by Netscape Communications Corporation to provide authentication and encrypted communication and is widely used on the World Wide Web for security-sensitive communication such as payment transactions and corporate information systems.

Strictly speaking, https is not a separate protocol, but refers to the combination of a normal HTTP interaction over an encrypted Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) or Transport Layer Security (TLS) connection. This ensures reasonable protection from eavesdroppers but is weak with man-in-the-middle attacks.

https only protects data in transit from eavesdropping and not man-in-the-middle attacks. Once data arrives at its destination, it is only as safe as the computer it is on. Gene Spafford states that it is like "using an armored truck to transport rolls of pennies between someone on a park bench and someone doing business from a cardboard box

Also, https is insecure when applied on publicly available static content. The entire site can be indexed using a web crawler and the URI of the encrypted resource can be inferred by knowing only the intercepted request/response size.[3] This allows an attacker to have access to the plaintext (the publicly available static content), and the encrypted text (the encrypted version of the static content).

Sungai Lembing

Sungai Lembing is a tin mining town 42 km northwest of Kuantan in Pahang, Malaysia. Lembing is Malay for spear, and "sungai" means river. Per local legend, the local ruler saw a vision of a spear in the nearby river and thus named his town after this vision.
Until the 1970s, Sungai Lembing was a major producer of underground tin. Sungai Lembing town developed in the 1880's when the British set up the tin mining industry, although the history of mining in this area extends much further back. From 1891, the Pahang Consolidated Company Limited, (PCCL), which was under British control, had a 77-year lease to mine the area. PCCL managed the mine from 1906 until its liquidation in 1986 when world tin prices collapsed.
The pit mines were closed in 1986 due to high operational costs and low yields, but during their heyday they were among the largest and deepest in the world. The total tunnel length is 322 km, with a depth of between 610 m and 700 m. A museum highlighting the tin mining industry was opened in 2003. The museum is housed in an old bungalow once used by the mine manager. The museum houses a collection of mining artifacts.
Today the town of Sg Lembing is in decline although it was once the richest town in Pahang, known as El Dorado of the East. In the 1940's about 1400 people worked in the mine. Today many of the wooden shoplots are closed and people are moving away. The town straddles the river, and the main street on the right bank is split by an avenue of majestic trees. At the end, an old wooden building overlooks the padang where games of cricket and other social activities were held.
Nearby Sungai Lembing is Bukit Panorama, which is a popular place to watch the sunrise. 16 km from Sg. Lembing is Gunung Tapis Nature Park, where one can camp, fish, and shoot the rapids. Gunung Tapis itself is 1,512 m high. On the way to Sg. Lembing at the hamlet of Pancing is Gua Charas, a temple cave that is a popular tourist destination, also Sungai Pandan Waterfall, which is 29 km from Kuantan.
